3 Cards from Saturday

I did not have as much crafty time as I had hoped this weekend, but I did make a lot of progress on the sweater I am knitting.  Just 3 cards to share.

First up is a card using MFT Birthday Bear & Friends, and I am entering it at MFT Color Challenge #112 , MFT Sketch Challenge #426Just Us Girls #477:  Birthday, and AAA Cards #135: One Plus Three plus Friends (stamped image, die cut, coloring + of course the bear is sharing his cake with his friends).

Next up is a card for Laurie's Fabulous Favorites over at PTI.  The challenge this week was a favorite PTI accessory, and I pulled out some oldies/goodies.  Several years ago, I bought a bunch of colors of embossing powders and also rhinestones, and I used both of these on my card.

I followed the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #311 and am also entering this card at The Paper Players #431:  Spring Fever.

Last up is a card using Memory Box Dogwood Blossom Outline die that I am entering at the Memory Box Flower Power challenge.  I cut this die several times out of different colors of paper, then pieced it back together.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #181:  Use Your Stash and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes.

Mid Week Crafting Update

It's a good week when I can sneak into my craft room off and on and get 4 cards made by Wednesday.

I used my new PTI Stuck on You die to create a rainbow of bandages for this vibrant and fun get well card.  Obviously, I could only send this card to someone who wasn't seriously ill.  I am entering this card at Make it Monday #314: Color Wheel and CAS-ual Fridays #194: Beautiful Rainbows challenges.

With bright colors on my mind, I created a card using the PTI balloon stencil that I am entering at Just Us Girls #340: Balloons and Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

It seems like I am always needing sympathy cards--when I invite my family and friends to help themselves to cards from my stash, sympathy cards are amongst the most popular.  I was inspired by the challenge at Less is More #366: Monochrome and CAS on Friday #127 One Layer Wonder to create the next two cards.

This card is Memento Grey Flannel and Versafine Onyx Black ink on PTI Soft Stone Paper.

This card is Versafine Onyx Black ink on kraft paper.

That's it for me today.  Sherlock and I are off to visit the patients at our local nursing home.  Come back tomorrow to see what I have for our current challenge at Time Out #104.

Play Date Cafe #183 and A Blog Named Hero #24

Hi.  Just a quick post with two cards for challenges that are near ending.  I used Sketched Shapes in the colors of this week's Play Date Cafe PDCC#183 to make another Father's Day card for my stash.  I was inspired by Erin Lincoln's card here.  After several unsuccessful tries at getting the pattern and alignment right, I decided to just cut all the triangles, stamp them, and then arrange them.  Much easier.  I am finding that those images are not the easiest to line up.

And, one for the Mother's Day stash.  I am in love with this Hero Arts Dogwood stamp, and really love the inspiration card from last week's CASE Study by Maile Belles.  I could not directly copy her that week, but the challenge is over, so I am copying her now for this week's A Blog Named Hero CAS Challenge #24.

Three Cards for Monday

Happy Monday.  My first card is one I started yesterday, but did not get to finish until this morning.  I used this week's Retro Sketches RS#63 and am also entering it into this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show A Little Paper challenge, to use something from a small pad of paper.  I used a sheet from American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray.

I made a set of cards for The Card Set Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.  I was inspired by this card on Susan's blog.  I used my brand new Memory Box Dogwood Blossom Outline die and sentiments from PTI Peaceful Garden.  I chose those sentiments because they seemed to compliment the delicate die cut.  I impressed each of the card fronts with the Canvas/Linen Impression Plate, and glued three tiny pearls on each flower center.

I packaged the cards in a slim plastic stamp box from PTI.

My last card is for this week's Seize the Birthday STB#16 as well as Simon Says Stamp and Show A Little Paper challenge, to use something from a small pad of paper.  I used papers from Pebbles Seen & Noted.

Ink:  Hawaiian Shores, SU Real Red
Other:  Sketched Shapes Die, Ellen Hutson sequins
