PTI 6th Anniversary: Watercolor Challenge

Today, the challenge for PTI's 6th Anniversary is watercoloring.  I am now in love with this technique, since I made both of these cards is mere minutes.  I like that I was able to just sort of swish around, and the color kind of does it's own thing.  I was out all day today, and was able to come home and make these two cards lickety split--my kind of crafting.

For this card, I die cut In Bloom flowers and leaves out of vellum, stamped in Versamark, and embossed in white.  I had one pot of Twinkling H2O's, and I thought it was pink, but it turns out to be more of an orangey color.  I just looked and the name of the color is Coral Berry.  I have no idea why I only have one color of this type of paint.  I think I should get some more.  The leaves are painted with Distress Peeled Paint.

For my second card, I cased one of the cards Nicole showed today.  I love the look of those paint brushes.  I used whatever Distress Ink colors were most handy.

That's it for me today.  I wonder what tomorrow's challenge will be?

Thanks for Visiting

  3. Fancy meeting you at this challenge! :) Your cards are most lovely and yes, you probably should get more twinklie paint when your results are this good! I've gotta try the paint brushes stamp (shh, haven't used it yet but now I know how I will).
