Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes

I have two bookmarks for this week's Paper Smooches Anything Goes challenge.  My girls love to read, and when I saw this technique for making a magnetic bookmark on Heather Nichols' blog, I knew I wanted to try it with some of the cute animal stamps from Paper Smooches.

Here is the front of the first bookmark.  I used the owl from Spookalicious and some patterned papers from my scrap bin.  I made my own sentiment from Alphadots, and mounted everything on a Mat Stack #3 die from PTI.

Similar idea here, using this adorable puppy from Woofers and Tweeters.

Here is a view of the backs of the bookmarks.  I took a folded piece of card stock and did a partial die cut of Mat Stack 3, then attached it to the front panel.  The sentiment is from PTI All Booked Up.

This is what the bookmark looks like when opened up.  The magnets will hold the bookmark in place around the page.  Check out Heather's post for a better description, if mine is clear as mud.

I am also entering these bookmarks into this week's Simon Says challenge New Something.  My Woofers and Tweeters stamp set is new, and a magnetic bookmark is a new technique for me.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Paper Smooches Alphadots, Woofers and Tweeters, Spookalicious
Paper:  PTI:  White, Limeade Ice, Sweet Blush pattern and card stock, Patterned paper from my stash
Ink:  Ocean Tides, VersaColor Opera Pink, Orange Zest
Other:  Dies: Mat Stack #3, Double Ended Banner, Limitless Layers circle, Glossy Accents, magnets

Thanks for Visiting

  9. They're adorable...
and maybe I should try magnets because I'm always losing my bookmarks and since folding a page is a HUGE no-no...
I usually have a receipt for something stuck in a book!
    I'm classy like that! *giggle*
What a great take on all the challenges! :)
