Four-of-a-Kind #16: A La Carte

We are back after taking a break in December with the latest installment of  Four-of-a-Kind.  If you want to read all about this group and see how we got started, please click here.

This month, we have something a little different.  Last year, as the year went buy, the kits started getting bigger and bigger.  And, so we made more and more cards out of each kit.  However, the stash of left over supplies kept growing and growing.  And, there was always that 'aha' moment when we saw what the others had done with the kit, and wished we had thought of that.

We can't turn back the clock, but we can get a second chance to work with those wonderful kits again.  This month, our cards are all made from ingredients from previous kits.  For me, that meant that I went to my Four-of-a-Kind Pinterest board, and started CASE-ing away.  I still wanted the experience of playing with supplies I did not have, so I only used kits that were sent by either Kim, Cathy or Renee.

From our very first kit sent by Cathy in August, 2011, a 3 X 3 mini card (which I am entering into the Moxie Fab challenge #23 to make an Itty Bitty card):

From Kim's kit in September, 2011:

From Renee's kit in April, 2012:

From Cathy's kit in May, 2012

From Kim's kit in June, 2012

From Cathy's kit in September, 2012:

From Kim's kit in October, 2012:

What a fun walk down memory lane this project has been.  Almost every card here has been CASE-d from one of the original posts from our group.  You can see all the projects we have ever done here.  And, click here to see all of my Four-of-a-Kind posts.  Believe it or not, I still have supplies left.  It seems like my crafty supplies always exceed the time I have to play with them.

Please stop by Kim's and Cathy's blogs and see what they have done with their left over supplies.

We are changing things up going forward.  Renee is going to be leaving our little group, to spend more time on some other projects.  I am sad to see her go, but excited to see what new trouble she will get herself into.  The good news is that Marybeth from Marybeth's Time for Paper will be joining our group, so we will still be Four-of-a-Kind.  We will also be moving to a quarterly posting schedule, giving us all a little more breathing room between projects.

There are too many supplies to list here, but please let me know if you have a question about anything.

Thanks for Visiting

  2. Talk about a walk down memory lane, your post sure did that for me Joyce! I had totally forgotten that first cupcake themed set. I love how you used each kit separately and my favorite is the cupcake one! I love how you used the stitched mat for the sentiment...the one with the apples and button card also stood out to me. Great job and can't wait to see what the new quarterly format will bring in 2013!

  4. Joyce, wow! So many amazing cards, I love them all and can't believe you got so many made, so fabulous. I agree with Cathy, it was so much fun to see all of your cards and remember when we first started and how little we had to work with, enough for a card to 2 and now, so many supplies, and so much fun. My favorite is that adorable little cupcake card from our first kit, so fun and festive. I am so happy to have the opportunity to do this. I am looking forward to a fun new Four of a Kind for 2013!

  6. Great cards Joyce & what fun to get a chance to play with stamps & dies you don't own. Your kits must be full to make this much from the leftovers!

The sitched Mat is a great addition and I really like the brown button card, but the only favourites are all of them. I will miss Renee but excited to see what Marybeth will do.
