Flamingos and Ice Cream

Hello and happy Tuesday.  I fell in love with these sweet die cut flamingos from PTI, and used them to create a card for the Great Cover Up Challenge to create a card with added layers.  The flamingos are made by layering different die cut bits on the die cut bird base.  I layered the flamingos on top of each other, and then put them atop a die cut from the Waves Cover Plate die.  I am also entering this card at the Cupcake Inspirations #522: Oh Birdie and Shopping Our Stash #448: Tropical Delights.

What is more summery than ice cream?  I was inspired by the Summer Theme Challenge at Inky Paws #151.  How about a giant chocolate sundae?  I stenciled a very pale purple bit of basket weave to ground my image and sentiment.  I am also entering this card at Retro Rubber #161: Summer Treats (stamps are 3 years old), and Addicted to Stamps and More #408: Birthdays.

Happy Birthday with Sprinkles on Top!

Hello friends.  I am popping in quickly with a really simple card that took me 3 days to make, only because I kept getting interrupted by life.  I used Newton's Nooks Summer Scoops stamps to make this fun and colorful birthday card.

2 Birthdays and a Thank You

Hello and happy Thursday.  Today, I am playing with the cat from MFT Sunny Vibes.  I think that cat may be my favorite stamp from that set.  (Until I decide to play with the mouse some more).  My design today was inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #508, and I am playing along at the MFT Birthday Project.  I am also playing along with The Paper Players #509: Pets, AAA Birthday #17: Animals  Critters, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics.

Now here's a card to make you hungry.  I was inspired by the sketch at Inky Paws #132, and the colors at Just Add Ink #524.  I am linking up at Retro Rubber #144: Anything Goes (stamps are Newtons Nook Summer Scoops 3 years old), and Water Cooler Wednesday #290: All About Occasions.

Last up is a thank you card--need to replenish my stash.  I used my new Hero Arts Bare Branched Tree and a few colors of Distress Oxide ink for this clean and simple (and practically one layer) thank you card.

Mostly Ice Cream!!

Hello and happy Thursday.  I've been stamping ice cream--way less calories than eating ice cream (although, true confessions, I am eating ice cream, too).

First up is a card inspired by the challenge at Inky Paws #127: Summer Theme.    What is summer to me?  A chance to eat ice cream, of course!  I used Summer Scoops that I had stamped a year or two ago using Kim's stamps.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday #194: Anything Goes and Retro Rubber #138: Anything Goes (these stamps are at least 2 years old).

Next up is another card using those same stamps, and I am entering this card into the same 3 challenges.

Next, I pulled out a mini set from Lawn Fawn that I have had for years and years, and started stamping and coloring ice creams.  I was able to make three cards with those ice cream containers, and am entering all of them at Lawn Fawnatics #80: Fun with Food,  Seize the Birthday #194: Anything Goes, Retro Rubber #138: Anything Goes (these stamps are at least 5 years old) and AAA Birthday #15:  3D.

I am also entering this first card at Inspired by #132 where I was inspired by the fruits and the colors (think of my ice cream as fruit flavored).

I am entering these last two cards at AAA Cards #169: Made in Minutes.

Last to post is the card I made first.  It was so quick and easy, and I made it using the biggest balloon die from the Birch Press Party Balloon dies, and my sentiment is from Ellen Hutson Good Times.
