Time Out #208...8th Birthday Celebration

It is time for a new challenge at Time Out and we have a very special challenge for you this month.

It's our 8th Birthday!!

It wouldn't be a party without party guests and prizes.  Please head over to the Time Out blog to see who our guests are and what prizes our generous sponsors are offering.

Please join us to help Time Out celebrate our 8th birthday by creating a birthday card.

I wanted to create a birthday card where the entire card looked like it was a party.  I mixed and matched stamps and die cuts from PTI and Concord &9th in some of my favorite party colors.

Here is an extra bonus card I made with a different color scheme and some yummy ice cream.  You know it's not a party without ice cream.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our fabulous guests and the Time Out Design Team. We have many generous sponsors for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run for 2 weeks.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Thanks for Visiting

Birthdays, Sunshine and Books

Hello and happy Tuesday.  I have a really CAS card to share using the colors from Color Throwdown (which I missed the deadline for!) and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #385.  I hand drew the strings on the balloons as my doodles for Less is More #426: Doodles.  I am also entering this card at Cupcake Inspirations #500 and Seize the Birthday #197 (no toppings).

This next card features some wonderful buildings from a Mama Elephant City Sidewalks, and I have layered it up with some snow drifts, cloud dies and a sun.  I am entering this card at Shopping Our Stash #427: Pile it On and Retro Rubber #141: Anything Goes (my stamps are 2-3 years old).

Last up is this slimline card, using the same houses from the card above plus a trees and mountains from Mama Elephant Build a Scene.  I am entering this card at The Paper Players #504: CAS Back to School (School is different for my oldest daughter, as she will be studying on line from her Grandmother's apartment in New York city), Just Add Ink #518 (trees), Use Your Stuff #403: Books and Retro Rubber #141: Anything Goes (my stamps are 2-3 years old).

That's it for me.  Please stay safe and craft on!!

Mostly Ice Cream!!

Hello and happy Thursday.  I've been stamping ice cream--way less calories than eating ice cream (although, true confessions, I am eating ice cream, too).

First up is a card inspired by the challenge at Inky Paws #127: Summer Theme.    What is summer to me?  A chance to eat ice cream, of course!  I used Summer Scoops that I had stamped a year or two ago using Kim's stamps.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday #194: Anything Goes and Retro Rubber #138: Anything Goes (these stamps are at least 2 years old).

Next up is another card using those same stamps, and I am entering this card into the same 3 challenges.

Next, I pulled out a mini set from Lawn Fawn that I have had for years and years, and started stamping and coloring ice creams.  I was able to make three cards with those ice cream containers, and am entering all of them at Lawn Fawnatics #80: Fun with Food,  Seize the Birthday #194: Anything Goes, Retro Rubber #138: Anything Goes (these stamps are at least 5 years old) and AAA Birthday #15:  3D.

I am also entering this first card at Inspired by #132 where I was inspired by the fruits and the colors (think of my ice cream as fruit flavored).

I am entering these last two cards at AAA Cards #169: Made in Minutes.

Last to post is the card I made first.  It was so quick and easy, and I made it using the biggest balloon die from the Birch Press Party Balloon dies, and my sentiment is from Ellen Hutson Good Times.

Have a Crafty Mother's Day

Hello and a Happy Mother's Day to all!!  I hope everyone is having a great Mother's Day, and can find a way to connect.  I was able to Zoom my mom, along with my brother, sister and all our kids.

I've got a photo heavy post, as I had a super crafty week...now I know why I am getting nothing done, because I've had so much fun with my cards this week.

Entering at:
Ink to Paper Melissa's Fab Friday:  Happy Mother's Day
Retro Rubber #134:  Spring Flowers (stamps are PTI Brushed Blooms...4 years old (probably))
CAS on Friday #179:  Favorite Flower
Addicted to Stamps and More #388:  Holiday

To create my next 2 cards, I stenciled a panel with Memory Box Modern Flower Power stencil, then cut the panel in half to make 2 cards.  Now, I have a bit of a head start for next year.

Entering at:
Outside the Box #61: May Flowers (Modern Flower Power stencil)
Addicted to CAS #358: Flower

Here is the card I made with the other half of my stenciled panel.

Special thanks to my daughter, for drawing a straw for this card...

Paper Smooches Anything Goes

I used an image from Perpetual Bliss to pair with the sentiment from Wine Samplers and drew in my own scribbles to indicate the ringing alarm.  Time for wine!

Paper Smooches Anything Goes

It's graduation season, so I have started on some graduation cards.  I just love this sentiment, from PTI Get Lost.

Entering at:
CAS(E) this Sketch #371

Funny thing about this card....I was so excited to see that I had a mini panda with a diploma that would be perfect for a graduation card.  After cutting it out, I thought it seemed strange that the panda would have 2 diplomas...then why did the diplomas have leaves?  Yes, it took me a while to realize that the panda was holding 2 pieces of bamboo.  But, I am still going to use this as a graduation card.

Entered at:
Just Us Girls #535:  Mini

.

And, finally, the last card of the day...
