My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I had a crafty weekend, and now I can post what I have made.

First up is a Mother's Day card using PTI Grans Garden that was inspired by the Project Reach Out Challenge at Ink to Paper, the photo at Just us Girls #533, the sketch at Just Add Ink #502.

This next card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #369 (especially Donna's and Michele's fun skateboard cards), AAA Birthday #12: Dots and/or Stripes (dots on the dog's hat, stripes on the bird's party favor), Color Throwdown #590, and Stay Crafty with Hero #6: Out of the Box (using the sentiment as a skateboard for my dog).

Here's a fun one, using a brand new to me stamp from Picket Fence called Leave as a Friend.  I am entering this card at AAA Cards #164: One image + optional twist inspired by TV.  My card is inspired by Mr. Rogers Neighborhood (the TV show which I grew up on) and this card represents the Neighborhood of Make Believe.  Difficult to see in this photo, but I used an impression plate to texture the card behind the neighborhood with sun rays.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #386: Anything Goes.

I am entering my next card at the Paper Smooches Happy Things challenge, using the sketch at The Paper Players #448.  I created a happy little scene using Paper Smooches Promenade stamps, and I am depicting where I will finally meet a friend for ice cream or coffee, once the quarantine is lifted.  These stamps are at least 5 years old, so I am entering this card at Retro Rubber #133:  Anything Goes.

Finally, a Hoppy Birthday card using some Pond Frog dies from Poppystamps.  I am entering this card at Poppystamps Challenge #67: Puddle Jumping, Perfectly CAS #8: Masking. and CAS Colours & Sketches #367.

That's it for me today.

With Sympathy

I had a chance to make a card this weekend, and when I saw Kim's beautiful inspiration card over at MUSE #234, I knew I had to play along.

Here is Kim's inspiration card.

Kim's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by Kim's design, her blue flowers with green leaves and a pop of purple, and her die cut sympathy sentiment.  You can see that I kept pretty close to Kim's card.

I wanted the die cut sentiment to be the only die cut on the card, so I did a lot of masking to get the two flower clusters stamped with their leaves.  I cannot tell you how nervous I was stamping the last few things--worried I'd make a smudge or mistake at the very end.

I was also playing along with PTI Make it Monday #297: Mixing Florals, so I combined flowers from Gran's Garden with leaves from Herb Garden.  True confession--I think my leaves are really parsley!

I am also playing along at Addicted to CAS #120: Florals and CAS on Friday #117: Use a Die cut.

My Crafty Weekend

I feel like it has been a long time since I had a large group of cards to post as a result of weekend fun in the craft room--today is the day.

First up is a bunch of cards inspired by Kay's beautiful card at Muse #231.

Kay's Inspiration Card
I loved the idea of the lightly stamped city skyline and a beautiful floral focal point.  I created two Mother's Day cards using PTI City Scene and Gran's Garden stamps.

I am also entering this card at CAS on Sunday #107: Use glitter or sequins (I used sequins).

I made another version of the same card, using different die cuts from Grans Garden.  I am entering this card at Time Out #82: Flowers (where I am on the DT).

While I had all the buildings from City Scene set up in my Misti, I made a few Father's Day cards. Why should the Mother's Day cards get all the fun, right?

I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #239: Clean and Simple.

Are you sick of this design yet?  I have one more Father's Day card, and I am entering this one at AAA Cards #89: Bright and Beautiful.

My parents as well as my In-Laws are all from New York, so I think they will appreciate the New York themed cards.

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #285 inspired my next card.  I flipped the sketch.

Last up is a pair of cards I made with the Bloom & Grow kit.

The first card is inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #219, and I used the Stenciled Water Color Background technique from Make it Monday #282.

You can pull the flowers up to see the sentiment.

One more card from Bloom & Grow, this one using the patterned paper in the kit.

I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

That's it for me this weekend.
