25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020...Day 3...Altenew

Welcome to the 10th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

If you are new to the event you can click HERE to see the posts from the last 9 years. There are also links to the Pinterest boards for each of  the past years at the bottom of this post.  There is so much incredible inspiration there.  I am so excited to share that there are 26 sponsors this year, and each of the sponsors and their designers will be joining us as a guest for a day!

Welcome to Day 3!

If you are just arriving for the first time, all the details and the linkup can be found HERE!

Our fabulous sponsor today is Altenew.

I often think of Christmas in the City when I am doing holiday crafting.  I think it is because growing up, we always went into New York city every Christmas--we looked at the wonderful displays in the store windows on 5th Avenue, watched the skaters and saw the big tree at Rockefeller Center, sometimes even taking in The Nutcracker ballet.

I chose to play along with a stencil from Altenew called City Scene.  All my sentiments are from Altenew Modern Poinsettia.

I cut a few tags, then started playing around, trying different things with these tags and the City Scene stencil.  For this tag, I blended Distress Oxide ink onto the tag and around the stencil.  I moved the stencil slightly 2 more times, to get more of a blurry look.

For this tag, I used navy blue cardstock for the tag, then blended opaque white ink around the stencil.

This tag started out just like the tag above, but  I then covered the entire tag with a big spray of Perfect Pearls.

This last tag is similar to the first, but in red.

While I had my supplies out, I made a holiday card.  I sponged Versamark ink around the stencil to create all the buildings, then heat embossed the buildings with a black sparkle embossing powder.  Then, I was free to create a blended night sky above the buildings.

I am also entering this tag at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, where the challenge is to make a tag and play along with our challenge!!

Please head over to the main post on Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the
fun and have a chance to win one of our prizes.

Time Out #156...Reminder...Loving Memories

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the photo below...

Here is a larger view of the inspiration photo...

I was inspired by the pretty flowers in the vase as well as the frames on the pictures.  I used Best Mom stamps from our sponsor, Altenew.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Maria F., so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. Altenew is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019...Day 1

Happy November.  The big day is finally here!  I am so excited to be part of Tracey's tag dream team for her annual "25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019".   We have so many generous sponsors this year, and there are a lot of prizes available for those who play along with us.

Each day through the month of November, I will be posting a tag using supplies by our sponsor for the day.  Today, we are sponsored by Altenew.

I used Modern Poinsettia stamps by Altenew.

For this tag, I used gold heat embossing on Pure Poppy and fussy cut the poinsettia.

I colored and fussy cut this poinsettia and adhered it to a wine bottle tag.  Now I am all set to gift a bottle of wine at the next Christmas party I attend.

I am also trying to use this challenge to make some holiday cards while I have my supplies out.

Please head over to Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the fun and get a chance to win a prize.

Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday.  I am popping in quickly with a birthday card for my Sister in Law.  She is starting a new career as a Realtor, and I thought Altenew Neighborhood stamps would be perfect.

I am entering this card at the following challenges:  Shop Our Stash #404: Dog Days of Summer (look very closely at the brown dog in front of the house on the far left!, Inspirational #129: Crop (I had to crop the houses on the far right and far left just a tad to fit on my card), Simon Says Stamp Monday and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenges which are both "Stamp It", and AAA Cards #148:  Sketch with optional twist animals.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  What is the best thing to do when you are up crazy early with jet lag?  Make cards, of course!!

First up is a CAS birthday card that I am entering at Color Throwdown #557 and Addicted to Stamps and More #355.

I am entering this next card at Just Add Ink #471 where I was inspired by the yarn colors to do some color blocking with my new Altenew Layered Cityscape dies.  I am also entering this at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge of Clean and Simple.

My next card is for the challenge at A Blog Named Hero August:  Stretch Your Stamps.  I used a bookcase background stamp and cut it to use it as a frame.  I am also entering this card at AAA Birthdays #4:  For the Boys.

Time for some fall fun with the mice on my next card, where I have used an interpretation of the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #451, and rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

I stamped some brightly colored baby birds from Paper Smooches up the side of my next card, and I am entering it at the Paper Smooches August challenge and AAA Cards #147: Along the Edge.

And finally, a card inspired by all the laundry I did this week, after returning from vacation.  I am entering it at Lawn Fanatics #59:  Something See-Through, where I used their suggestion and used vellum on my washing machine, and the sketch at The Paper Players #496.

That's it for me today.  I had a wonderful vacation, but it is good to be back.
