Friday Round Up

TGIF, right?

I am playing along at Poppystamps #69: Clean and Simple and a new challenge to me, Inspired by...Colorful Kicks.  I used Poppystamps Brevilla Houses dies and cut a group of colorful houses, playing on the row of colorful sneakers in the Inspired by photo.  This sentiment is from Picket Fence Leave as a Friend, and I think it is perfect for a card of encouragement.

The challenge at Melissa's Fab Friday Feature is 'Sending Handmade Hugs', so I pulled out PTI Big Hugs and used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #438 to create my next card.

Next up is a card for Ink to Paper's Project Reach Out: Thinking of You and uses the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #375.   I pulled out PTI Flower Favorite stamps (5 years old?) to make this card, and I am also entering it at Retro Rubber #136:  Summer Time (my flowers bloom in the summer).   I am also entering this card at Just Add Ink #508: Just Add "F" (flowers).

Last up is a birthday card using the MFT Birthday Big Balloons stencil, and I am using the sketch challenge at MFT #492 and the colors at MFT Color #142.  I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #166: Birthday and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Masculine.

Hugs and Thinking of You

A quick post from me this morning to post 2 cards I made yesterday, as some of the challenges are about to end.

This card is inspired by Ink to Paper Project Reach Out: Sending Hugs and Rainbow Cheer and uses PTI stamps and dies Watercolor Wonder and Big Hugs, CAS(E) this Sketch #367, Perfectly CAS #7: Die Cuts (a new challenge for me), AAA Cards #162: Made in Minutes, and Just Add Ink #500: Just Add a Die Cut Word (happy 500th challenge!!).

Next up...I finally pulled out The Greetery Bottled Up stamps and created this card inspired by the colors at Color Throwdown #588, the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More #384: CAS, and Inkspirational #210: Spring.

Paint Chips and a Bookmark

I was inspired to pull out my paint chips by the Ombre challenge at AAA Cards #110 this week.  Once I had them out, I had great fun playing around with them, and ended up with three cards.

I started with a palette of blues, and used a MFT die to cut out the word 'hugs'.  I stacked a few die cuts under this for dimension, and then added the rest of the sentiment from PTI Big Hugs.  I am also entering this card at Less is More #366: Monochrome.

Next, I took another paint chip of various shades of teal, and die cut the word 'birthday' and also some balloons.  I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #262.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

For my last paint chip card, I stacked the die cut letters left over from my first card, and then laid them out on the diagonal, surrounded by some flowers.  I laid everything out on a die cut with diagonal stripes from Lil Inkers, so I could be sure everything was spaced evenly.

I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Girl Power.

I also have a bookmark to share--it is two sided and incorporates my new PTI Lilies of the Valley stamps as well as a couple of miscellaneous sentiments.  I am entering this bookmark at The Flower Challenge #18: Anything Goes and The Paper Players #383: Spring Has Sprung.

CASology Week #282...Hug

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is HUG.

I die cut the word 'Hugs' several times, stacked them up and coated with black Wink of Stella.  Finally, I got a stamp set from Uniko, and I couldn't wait to ink it up.  I used the largest bloom from Uniko Pure Florals Chrysanthemum and stamped it partially off the page.  Then I tucked the supporting bits of my sentiment under my die cut word.

Now it's your turn.  How does HUG inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Sending Hugs

I have not had much crafting time lately, but I did manage to sneak in a card for this week's Make it Monday #238: Window Chipboard Sentiments.  It was really nice to see Stephanie in her first video.

Here is the card I made, using Harvest Berries and Big Hugs.  This is the card closed.

Here is the card when it is open.

I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #86:  Die Cuts and Addicted to Stamps and More #234: Clean and Simple.

I'll be back tomorrow with a card for the PTI blog hop.
