Time Out #42....Reminder...Rest.Relax.Recover

Hello!  There is still time to play along with us at Time Out.  This week, our challenge is Home Sweet Home and we are inspired by this photo.

I must admit that I am feeling pretty DONE with Halloween.   I challenged myself to take inspiration from this photo and not make a Halloween card.  I chose to focus on the chevron pattern on one of the pumpkins and the black, orange and white color scheme.

I used the rock and roll inking technique to ink up these PTI Vintage Linen flowers in Orange Zest edged in Terracotta Tile.  I used a strip of chevron patterned paper as a border, and added burlap texture to my card front.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team and also visit our Guest Designer TaeEun.

Thanks for Visiting

  10. Stunning...absolutely stunning! I'm nearly 'done' with Halloween, too...just a couple more things on my radar that I'm hoping to get done. I have enjoyed playing with my Halloween goodies, especially since I know my projects are actually going somewhere (yet another added bonus in my niece and nephew having a whole lotta classmates!). Hope you're having a 'relaxing' day!
    Hugs~c

  15. Such a clever take on the inspiration photo, Joyce! I love the richness of the two-toned orange blooms and the chevron border is lovely! Also, adding texture with your burlap Impression Plate, is a really great touch! I think this card will definitely make the recipient feel better!
