The 12 Kits of Occasions: March 2015

It's the end of March, and that means it's group post time for The 12 Kits of Occasions.  This month, Marybeth of Marybeth's Time for Paper is our host and the theme is Song of the South.  Marybeth sent a huge kit filled with all sorts of fun stuff I did not have.  I think that some of my favorite pieces were the really detailed stamped images that were so intricate I did not feel like I needed to color them (lazy me).  Here is a picture of the kit Marybeth sent.

And now I'll get right to the cards, because there is a lot to see.

I just fell in love with this chef.  (He sort of reminds me of my husband--tee hee).

Doesn't this strawberry look good enough to eat?  I embossed it a few times with UTEE and it is so very glossy.

That's it for me this month.  As usual, I ran out of time way before running out of supplies or ideas. A big THANK YOU to Marybeth for such an amazing kit.  Even a city girl like me was able to create so many cards and have a great time doing so.

Please head over to our 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see a list of team members along with links to their blogs.  You can also see this month's supply list as well as our special Guest Designer for March--here is a hint--she lives in the South and tried to resign from our group last month--and now she is already back as our guest.  Jeanne has one extra kit for the month of May, and you can leave a comment on the 12 Kits of Occasions blog for a chance to win a kit and join us in May.

Thanks for Visiting

  3. Yes indeed that Gentleman Rooster is a favorite cock-a-doodle-dude!!! Lazy? No way... he only needed a stage, and you've created a beauty for him! [though Sharron did a fab job of it] Love them all, Joyce!

  5. Holy cow! I can't believe all the projects you made with this kit Joyce! Amazing! Never sure if I should comment on each one or just the things that pop out at me - like that shiny strawberry on the graph paper - and how you die cut the patterned paper on the second to the last - I love that the pattern paper is the whole face of the card, and the detailed die stitching.. or the little twine bow on the sunrise with the rooster. Great projects!

I laughed when yiu said that big ole rooster reminded you of your husband...so funny! I see we were thinking alike that the images didnt need to be colored...my favorite kind of stamps. Hope everything is going good down there in San Diego!

  20. Joyce, you did an INCREDIBLE job with this kit! Roosters were definitely meant to be paired with red gingham. I love your little chef card...even more so after reading how it reminds you of your husband...so fun. And I am wishing I hadn't used some of the supplies I did, so I could CASE even more of your cards.
