Just a Note

I have been meaning to play along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #156, and I finally got the chance to make a card today--just in time.

I decided to use PTI Petite Pots for the first time and pulled together this card pretty quickly, in between baking a batch of banana bread and catching up on laundry.  Who says my days are not exciting and glamourous?

CASology Week #182: Adore

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is Adore.  It made me think of love and valentines, so I made a Clean and Simple Valentine.

I have this really fun die from Impression Obsession, and it cuts a heart made up of hearts.  How fun is that?  I backed that die cut with some Pure Poppy card stock and then fussy cut a sentiment embossed in white on black card stock.  I added just a bit of texture and nothing else, as this will probably be my valentine to my DH.

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.   I thought of flowers when I saw this week's colors. What will you think of?

I'm not sure that this Verve set has ever seen ink....shame on me.  There are so many sweet little images included in this set (Floral Whimsy), and I just constructed a little vase in Memento Rich Cocoa and filled it with some flowers and stems.

Papertrey January 2015 Blog Hop

Hello.  I have a quick post to share a card I made that was inspired by this photo for the PTI January Blog Hop.

I was inspired by the colors and shapes in the inspiration photo.  I used a stamp from It's a Banner Day repeatedly stamped in Orange Zest to create my background, and then fussy cut my sentiment, which I stamped in black on Blueberry Sky card stock.

I'm keeping it short so you can get on with the hop.

Weekend Recap

My first card today uses an older WPlus9 set called Heartfelt Mix, and I was inspired to use it for a CAS valentine by WPlus9 Throwback Thursday #11.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #80, where the challenge is RED.

I don't often manage to play along with Muse, but I had to try this week, as my friend Tracey was the Muse and she gave us this inspiring beauty to CASE.

Isn't Tracey's card just the picture of simple elegance?  My card did not turn out as CAS, although I had planned it that way when I started--just couldn't stop, I guess.

I was inspired by Tracey's mats, the stitching, the green layer, and her floral focal point.

Speaking of flowers, I used Persian Motifs from Altenew as my 'something new' for Simply Create Too #101.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #220 and am also entering my card at Addicted to Stamps and More #177 where the challenge is to Make Your Mark and I used Copics to color in my flowers and also to doodle a border.

Now, how about a few pandas?  I've got two dancing pandas to wish a special little boy a happy birthday.

Valentine Panda

I have a quick little valentine to share that I need to get in before the Paper Players #278:  CAS Valentine closes, so I'll be quick.

I recently bought a used Mama Elephant Pandamonium set and have been having fun playing around with the pandas.  On this card, I stamped the heart frame from PTI Heart Squared, masked it off, and then stamped the panda in the middle.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Create with Critters.

Time Out #48...Happy Mother's Day

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, our challenge is a CASE challenge, and we have this gorgeous card from Marika to inspire us.

I loved everything about this card--isn't it beautiful?

I was inspired by Marika's overall design, the ink sponging, the flower in the upper left corner and her horizontal and vertical purple sponged lines.
