Some Christmas Crafting

I hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful Christmas.  I spent some time in my craft room this week, and have some cards to share.

First up is a valentine using PTI stamps Heart Squared and Paws & Kisses.  I am linking it to the Ink to Paper Challenge to create a Valentine's card.  I am also linking this up at WWC302: Anything Goes and Inkspirational #229: Something in your home (my dog!).

Next up is a card inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #521 and the colors at MFT Color Challenge #156.

I made a set of really simple flat thank you cards for my kids to use for their Chanukah gifts.  I used a really cute Chanukah stamp set from PPP that I received as a Chanukah present.  How cool is that?  I am entering these cards at AAA Cards #180: Made in Minutes + optional twist Christmas and Inkspirational #229: Something in your home (menorah).

A Blog Names Hero has a fun challenge running now to CASE your favorite card of the year.  I am CASEing this card that I made using Hero Arts Winter Village Peek a Boo.  I decided to use the same stamp set to create several very quick and CAS cards.

White cardstock heat embossed with Black Sparkle embossing powder.

Red cardstock heat embossed with Silver embossing powder.

Blackcardstock heat embossed with Winter Wonderland sparkle embossing powder.

I will also be entering these cards at AAA Cards #180: Made in Minutes + optional twist Christmas,  WWC302: Anything Goes, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Celebrate and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Sparkle & Shine.

Happy Birthday and Warm Wishes

I have been meaning to play along with Seize the Birthday #200--to wish them a very happy birthday, but time kept slipping away from me.  Fortunately, I am slipping in before the end of the challenge with my card, which is inspired by the graphic...the colors, the balloons and the script sentiment.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday Challenge: Dry Embossing.

This next card uses a new stamp from Hero Arts called Winter Village, and I used Copic markers to color my scene.  It is almost a 1 layer card--I just cut out and popped up a sentiment.  I am entering this card at A Blog Named Hero: Clean and Simple.

Peace for the Holidays

It feels like I have been bitten by the holiday crafting bug and now I am in full holiday swing.  First up, a card using the beautiful colors at this week's Color Throwdown #414.

I really like the delicate patterns in the newest What the Doodle by Papertrey--a set of ornaments.  I stamped an entire card front, using my Misti to help with alignment, and then decided to only use the bottom half of my paper.  I'm sure I'll use the rest some other time.  I am also entering this card at Just Add Ink #333:  Just add G (green ornaments).

More of those ornaments on my next card--this time they are die cut, white embossed and sponged with Distress ink.

I am entering this card at Christmas Card Challenges #44: Decorations and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Totally Resistible.

Last up is another snowy winter scene--perfect for Simon Says Monday Challenge: Explore the World.  I am also entering this card at Merry Monday #217: Retro/Vintage.  I used the same PTI Winter Village as I used in my earlier Merry Monday entry to create my vintage scene.

Mid Week Update...4 Cards

Yay for crafting time during the week.  I played along with MUSE #187 because I fell in love with Tracey's inspiration card.

I was inspired by Tracey's free form floral stamping, placement of her sentiment and her colors.  I broke out my newest inks for this card--a couple of little Altenew cubes.  Have to say that I love the ink, and will be getting some more next time there is another sale.  I used Fall Floral stamps from MFT.  I am also entering this card at The Flower Challenge #1.

Sneaking in under the wire at CAS(E) this Sketch #193.  I kept pretty true to the sketch, and used blended distress inks.

Inspired by this card by Nicole, I have a card for PTI's Create Along with Us. I used Copics to color, and added a little gold pen to match the gold embossed sentiment.

Last up is a holiday card using Winter Village that I am entering at Merry Monday #217: Retro/Vintage.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday Challenge: Explore the World.  As I live in sunny San Diego right near the beach, my snowy scene is inspired by the adventure my oldest daughter will have this winter at college in Maine.

Happy Birthday and Peace on Earth

I used the colors at this week's Color Throwdown #413 to make a masculine themed birthday card using my new PTI Fancy Foliage dies and a sentiment from Hero Arts Chalkboard Birthday.

I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #363: Leaves, The Male Room #45: Leaves and or Trees and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Make it Monday #263 is all about using die cut frames on a card.  I used die cuts from the Embroidered Borders frames, stamped with Fairy Dust ink on my holiday card.  I was so excited to pull out my new  Winter Village stamps and dies to create my little scene.  While I had my Misti set up for all the little stamps in this set, I stamped several extra bits that I hope to use on some more cards before long.

I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #214: Clean and Simple and Christmas Card Challenges #43 (I am doing the anything goes part).
