Birthdays and Babies



I am sneaking away from Superbowl commercials to post three cards I made this weekend.  I'll be brief...


First up is a card that combines a brand new stamp and die (Celebrate) with one of my oldest favorite (Dot Spot).  I am playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch #207,  Inkspirational #127: Polka Dots, and Happy Little Stampers February CAS Challenge:  Blue.








With this next card, I am playing along, for the first time (I think) with MFT Color Challenge #62,  Simon Says Monday Pet's Corner and Addicted to CAS #104: Pets.  Now, I realize that elephants are a very non traditional pet, but these were the dies I really wanted to use, and I am sure that there is someone somewhere with a couple of pet elephants.





Last up is a card inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink #345 and the colors at Color Throwdown #428.

    Love all three of your amazing cards....your first one is fabulous, love all that beautiful blue and those spots! And your sweet baby card with the dotted ears, just too darn cute and your final card is my favorite, love your gorgeous flowers, they look so beautiful in those colors.

    Love the variety of card styles Joyce!! The first is modern, funky and fabulous. The second is CAS cuteness and the third is ever so pretty!! I really need to get that stamp set, the flowers are so pretty!!

    Wow three stunning cards love them all. I have always loved that spot stamp you used first, its one I missed out on but always wish I had. Looks wonderful in all the blues and isnt that celebrate die and stsmp fantastic. Have to look for that one.
    Of course we have pet elephants, well imainary ones anyway so your card is right. Love those elephants and the flower card, stunning. One flower with that wonderful embossing folder, perfect.

    That first card is so beautiful'love yje blu dot-flowers and how you made the layout with the,! The babycard is sweet, and so usuable through the beautiful green! And the last one is so beautiful delicate coloured! Hugs, Gerrina

    Joyce, I LOVE that first card! It has so much awesome texture with the dotty patterns against that embossing and, of course, that sentiment is so cool. I wish I had a pet elephant although you'd need a heck of a big pooper scooper! Is that last flower from Altenew? Its really pretty and I love how subtly you coloured it.

    Three really fabulous cards! I love how you paired the Celebrate die cut with the Dots, and your embossed background is perfect! I also think your ellies are really fun, and I agree...someone surely has one for a pet :) Your flower on the last card is stunning! A beautiful take on the sketch, and your details are fabulous...especially your embossed card base!

    Oh, those stamps are soooooo perfect for Michele's sketch, Joyce ...and the celebrate stamp and die - simply wow, wow, WOW - LOVE it!!!! Such a great card!!!! I couldn't help but smile at pet elephants - if we could have them in the sizes and colours they are on your cute card, I think they would have been very popular as pets ...just imagine a little cage with a few of them!!! Love the dry embossing of the ears - a very sweet card!!!! The third card is very stylish and elegant!!!! Beautiful!!!!

    That dotted background is fabulous, Joyce, and goes well with the new "celebrate" die. Love the elephants and I too thought about wild animals as pets and decided to buy new stamps instead. The Altenew flower is exquisite, especially on that embossed background.

    I too would love to know the vendor for the stamps, die and EF. I have looked hard for the info as well. Love the cards. Great inspiration.

      The stamps are Dot Spot and Celebrate by PTI, and the texture is the Picnic Plaid impression plate by PTI.

      Yes, the Celebrate stamp and die are from PTI, but they were a freebie last December with purchase. Best way to try to find one would be to see if someone is selling theirs, as they were not made available for sale. So sorry. It is a fun little mini set.

    Joyce, such a bunch of wonderful cards as always. Congrats on your CTS Win!! Fantastic card. I love the blues you used, and that sentiment is so wonderful! I LOVE the baby card - a CAS delight, and those were wonderful colors to work with! Gorgeous birthday card. Love that embossed panel, and that floral image in colored so beautifully.

    Beautiful cards! The first one is a knock-out. I have searched for the Celebrate stamp and die from PTI and cannot find it although Dot Spot and the embossing folder are available. Help!
