Hello and happy Saturday everyone. My weekend has started with some crafty time, and I was able to finish two cards I started yesterday. I was playing around with Limeade Ice and Hawaiian Shores and ended up making two cards.
I used a NBUS stamp set I won from Clearly Whimsy Stamps--It's called Tremendous Triangles and it is chock full of fantastic graphic images. I can tell I am going to have a lot of fun playing with these stamps. I sliced my sentiment in two, after being inspired by this week's Papertrey Ink's Design Team Tips.
I am entering this card at Showcase your Style #6--so excited to play this challenge for the first time as well as CAS(E) this Sketch #106.
Darnell and CASology are partnered this week to challenge us to use our NBUS. Grab something new and create a Clean and Simple card to play along.
I was not done with those colors or the sketch, so I made another card for Showcase your Style #6 and CAS(E) this Sketch #106. No NBUS in this card below--all the supplies on this card have seen lots of love before.
I am also linking both of these cards at Simon Says Wednesday It's a Guy Thing.
Thanks for Visiting
Two lovely cards love those tremendous triangles, and this colour scheme is very nice <3
ReplyDeleteSo so sweet! I love how you split your first card at the sentiment, it gives your card an amazing look. I love the colors of both of them, so bright and vivid, the perfect way to say Happy Birthday and well wishes...just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that first one particularly!
ReplyDeleteThose colors looks great together in your cards, Joyce. Lucky you winning those triangles. They make a great border and masculine card. Kudos to you for following the tip and splitting the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards - specially the first one with the split panel!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs :) love the color combo !!
ReplyDeleteGreat guy cards! Love these colors!!
ReplyDeleteFun graphic designs Joyce, these are terrific!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these, Joyce!!! Awesome color combo and designs.
ReplyDeleteSuch cool cards! LOVE those colors together! Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
ReplyDeleteNina-Marie :)
Gorgeous cards! Love the colours.
ReplyDeleteJoyce - I love the colours and graphic designs. Fab cards.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Joyce, love those Whimsy triangles and how you sliced your sentiment--great job. The iKat is, as always, fabulous too!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards Joyce. Great color choices.
ReplyDeleteThose triangles are great for this challenge and I love how you did the sentiment on the first card! Wonderful colors too!
ReplyDeleteOn your first card I thought you meant you literally sliced your sentiment in two, so you could stack it. THEN I scrolled down and saw what you meant. I like that technique for a bit of added pop. Thanks for sharing that. Love the bold colors and your graphic design on both cards. The second one with its texture made me think you stamped on a paper towel. Only of course you could never get such a crisp image on a paper towel.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, I love BOTh cards and their rich colors! (I also love both sentiments!)
ReplyDeleteThe colors here suit your cards very, very well!! I love on the first card how those cool triangles look. And the cool technique that you did on that card made it so awesome!! The second card features the same great colors and it has a certain trendy, cool, chic look to it!! Very lovely work for today!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love both takes on the sketch Joyce!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!
Thanks so much for joining us at CAS(E) this sketch this week!
Ah, man, are you telling me there's a stamp company I haven't heard of? And I'll have to go shop there now? lol! Love how you used these triangles and colours to make this!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, Joyce! Love those colors, and the stamps are new to me, as well... wonder if Ardyth would pick me up? ... thanks for sharing at CTS!
ReplyDelete=] Michele
Oh, these are both fabulous, Joyce! I love your fantastic takes on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteGreat color combo and designs! Thanks for joining us in the It's a Guy Thing Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog this week :)
ReplyDeleteI love this colour combo and those sketchy triangles rock! They would make adorable little Christmas trees. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are both so very cool, Joyce ... I'm especially taken with those fabulous triangles ... need to check this set out ... and probably add it to my wish list! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteCatching up on commenting as you can see. Love these two a lot. Will have to try that split panel technique.
