Happy 16th Birthday and Lawnscaping

My oldest daughter turns 16 today.  I cannot believe it.  Where has the time gone.  I made her a card using all shades of pink and purple--her favorite colors--and a bit of glitter, too.  What girl doesn't like glitter, right?  The driving age here in California is 16, and I am so very happy that she is not interested in driving at this point.  I must be providing good enough taxi service, and I'd like to keep it that way for at least another year.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.  I used one of the PTI Movers and Shakers Poppers die from over a year ago...for the first time.   I think I'll use this die again.  Once I found the tutorial, it was actually quite easy to use and set up.

I have a little mini card and matching envelope for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge No. 67.  I just got the WR Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, and I love it so much.  It is really quick and easy to use, and makes just the cutest little envelopes.  It is especially good with double sided paper.

I used Critters in the Burb and Critters at the Dog Park for the mini card and MME The Sweetest Thing-Tangerine paper.

Speaking of Critters at the Dog Park, I need to run--I promised my daughter I'd take the dog to the dog park this morning.

Thanks for Visiting

  6. Love the sweet 16 card, especially the inside! My 16 yr old has waited impatiently from the age of 2 to get her permit and is very competently chauffeuring me around these days, but I don't know how/if I'll ever be able to let her drive off on her own.

  14. 16!!!
    I have 2 turning 16 in just over a month...YIKES!!
    How did that happen?!!
    They were just babies!! :)
    And like you...
one is apparently satisfied with my driving to the point I think I may have to drive her to college...
she refuses to even attempt learning how to drive and we have the rule of learners permit for 2 years before license...
    seriously!
I'll be driving her to college!
But say something to Hunter about driving and she's all for it!
Then Ryder says "OH, no! We gonna die...Hunter can't see!" :) LOL
    And both cards are fabulous...
    love that mini!
And now that I have that punch board...
I can see some of these in my future! :)
