I played hookey today. That's right. In the limited time I had for crafting today, I did not watch any of the videos for my Clean & Simple Card Making class. Nor did I do any of the fun homework. What I did was get totally caught up in the first of what I assume will be many contests and activities for PTI's 6th Anniversary celebration. I could spend all week just casing all of the design team favorites, and I just might do that. Today, I was able to make three cards.
Christina |
My first card is a CASE of this card by Christina. I loved this card the moment I saw it during the release count down. I used Background Basics: Super Stripes and a sentiment from Folk Art Florals for my take on it.
Christina |
My next card is also a case of Christina. My stamping is not as crisp and clean as hers (surprise, surprise), so I raised a few of the squares with foam tape. Hopefully, that will add interest, and distract your eye from my less than perfect stamping.
Debbie |
My last card for today is a case of this card from Debbie. I changed the colors, because I felt like I had to change something, and not just make an exact replica. I used Vintage Cream and Kraft, which are the colors of this week's Less is More 2nd birthday challenge--Happy Birthday Less is More!
And, because there are just a couple more hours left of this week's Simon Says Challenge for Anything Goes, I'll be submitting all three cards for that challenge as well.
That's it for me today. I hope to case more of the fabulous PTI design team tomorrow. And, do my homework, too.
Thanks for Visiting

Joyce all of your CASE cards are just gorgeous! Your use of the stripes and your squares is stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of school is playing hooky! Where to begin is the problem with all of your lovely cards! The birthday one is some insane making, popped-up squares is a fantastic idea and my favorite is the Debbie O. inspired card. I think I will have to try that one out too!
ReplyDeleteCant say that I blame you. You did a wonderful job casing these cards and I love your own spin you put on them. I have yet to use my stripes and you used them perfectly!

ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! I love all of your cased cards, but my favorite is the first one with those great stripes. I actually like it better than the original! I just really am liking the stripes! Hope you win something!
ReplyDeleteI love Cristina's CAS cards - you did a great job on both of them!
ReplyDeleteThree CASEd beauties! They are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, all three of your cards are beautiful. My favorite is your last card, I love the different panels using the same color ink, has a real classy look to it. Your cards look just as fabulous as the design teams.
