The theme for this month's PTI blog hop is Marvelous Monograms. I will admit that when I first saw this topic, I was not excited. How much I do with an initial? Especially when I only have one Papertrey Alphabet set? Even with this inspirational photo?
However, I am not one to miss a party, so I started thinking about what kind of monogram would I use, if I had to use monogrammed stationery? Well, I had just bought a big set of Inktensive pencils, so how about something colorful?
I liked my colorful monogram, and decided to make some note cards for my daughters. They are always in need of thank you notes.
I used one sheet of card stock, cut into quarters, to make a little set of flat note cards.
I used a piece of PTI white that was 5 1/2 by 4 to color and wet, and then cut it into 4 one inch strips. That way the colored pieces in the set would be essentially the same. And, it was quicker.
The monogram is a flower from Flower Fusion and a letter from Lawn Fawn Smitty's ABC's.
Now, I think that the monogram challenge was a pretty good one.
Enjoy the rest of the hop. I am eager to see what everyone else did.
Thanks for Visiting
Very lovely card sets, Joyce. I especially like the rainbow colors and the "J" card.

ReplyDeleteThese are perfect Joyce and looks like you had fun making them. beautiful personal thank you cards! Wouldn't be a party without you!
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea...and it is such a popular one lately. Those are neat pencils you used...who wouldn't like to just scribble and then add water? I also really love how you were so smart to only have to scribble once and make 4 notecards with it! Very cute idea and so nice that your girls write thank you notes...I have to brow-beat Carly to do them!
