3 Cards for Thursday

Hello and happy Thursday.  My first card is a pyramid of pandas, kind of like a bunch of gymnasts.  They are forming the tree shape in this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #519, and using the colors from this week's MFT Color Challenge #155.  My pandas are from Panda Pals, and they are holding some balloons from Happy Hippos.

I am also entering this card at Watercooler Wednesday 301: Occasions and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Favorite Techniques (die cutting, heat embossing, copic coloring and fussy cutting--I have a lot of favorite techniques).

My next card is inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #465 and the challenge at AAA Cards #180: Made in Minutes + Christmas.  This card was so very quick to make, and the key was to grab something that was completed a long time ago, and was just in a pile of things to eventually use.  All I had to do to make this a card was to dry emboss the card front with snowflakes and adhere the tag with foam tape.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Let it Snow and Use Your Stuff #412: Winter/Snow/Christmas.

My last card is a fun birthday shaker card.  I can't remember where I got those rainbow shaker elements are, but they sure are cute.  I used the Cafe All Day dies to create my boba birthday shaker, and paired it with a sentiment from Mama Elephant Boba Tea.  I am entering this card at CAS(E) this Sketch #401,  The Birthday Project at MFT (birthday shaker), and Watercooler Wednesday 301: Occasions.

Time Out #176...Reminder...Stand Tall and be Fabulous

There is still time to play along with the current challenge at Time Out.  We challenge you to make a card inspired by this quote:  "Every Time a Bell Rings, An Angel Gets Its Wings"

I was inspired by the idea of WINGS in this quote.  I used Flamingo Flock stamps by our lovely sponsor, Newton's Nook to create my card.

To keep my card from looking too busy, I only stamped part of the image in the lower right corner of my card.  I colored the flamingo that was in the 'sweet spot' of the card a deep pink flamingo color, and used a super pale light pink and grey to color the rest of the flamingos.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and our Guest Designer, Jenny.  Newton's Nook is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I've got lots of crafty stuff to share today.

I pulled out my old PTI Warmest Wishes stamps and dies to create my first card.  I an entering this card at Melissa's Fab Friday challenge to make a Critter Card--My critters are a bear and a fox. I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Fun with Dies.

Up next are a pair of cards I made using the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #518 (2nd card flips the sketch) and the colors from MFT Color Challenge #154.  I am also entering these cards at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Fun with Dies.

I used the MFT Drifts stencil to mask an area off to create my diagonal 'road'.  For the first card, I sponged distress ink in twisted citron, then put a Dreamweaver Faux Cross-Stitch stencil over it all and sponged with a darker Green.

I flipped the sketch for this card, as the panda I wanted to use was headed in the other direction.  I masked my 'road' off the same way as for the previous card, but used a brick stencil on the unmasked area.  The sentiment is from MFT A Toast To You, but I thought it would be fitting for these pandas going on some unexpected adventures.

I rotated and used the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #400 for my next card.  Don't those cookies look delicious and adorable?  I am also playing along at The Paper Players #520, where I am inspired by the plate of Christmas cookies, and Fusion Merry, Joy, Cheer, where I am inspired by the cookie jars in the photo.

My next two cards are inspired by the challenge at Stay Crafty With Hero #17: Thank Your Cards,  A Blog Named Hero: Glitter and Sparkle, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Fun with Dies.  The snow on my first card was made with glitter embossing paste and a falling snow stencil, and I am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #194: Snow.

I used some more of this metallic shine paper on this second card, and had the usual difficulties taking a photo.

It seems like I still have an inclination to make a few more tags, so I am playing along at Ellen Hutson 12 Tags of Christmas 2020.   My Tag for Day 1 is inspired by the scene with buildings and the round shape of Sandy's sample tag, as well as the 'Christmas in the City' portion of Silver Bells.  This tag was so quick to make, so I am entering it at AAA Cards #180: Made in Minutes + Christmas.  I white heat embossed some of the buildings from Concord & 9th City Stacks, cut a quick mask and was then able to sponge the buildings in red and the sky in purple. adding falling snow with some white paint.

My card for Day 2 is inspired by Ardyth's Gingerbread Man and Little Drummer Boy song.

Thursday Crafting

Hello and happy Thursday.  I have a few cards to share today.  First up is this card using Memory Box Life's Path stamps.  I colored the trees in various shades of blue, purple and green with Copic markers.  I am entering this card at Festive Friday #33: Winter Solstice (blue, purple, trees) and Memory Box #67: Trees.

Next up is a Warm Wishes card, inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper.  I pulled out these cute Christmas Critters mice from PTI, sharing a cup of cocoa and maybe even a kiss under the mistletoe.  I used the colors from Just Add Ink #534 and am also playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Fun with Dies.

My next card started with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #464, the colors at Just Add Ink #534  and the Fun with Dies challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  I pulled out another old favorite from PTI, Dash Away All for this card.  As fun as it is to get new stamps, sometimes it is fun to play with old favorites.

Last up for me today is this fun Christmas tree I constructed myself using some paper scraps I had left over from this card.  I had an idea in my head of how I wanted it to look, and did a google image search to see if I could find an image of the die I had in mind that inspired my idea.  What I learned is that this project is one of the most popular Christmas crafts for kindergarten classes.  Yay me!  I passed kindergarten (again).

I am entering this card in a challenge that is new to me called The Rainbow Card Challenge #24: Holiday Rainbow.  I am also entering this card at Festive Friday #33: Winter Solstice (blue, purple, tree, snow)
