Two Quick Cards

Hello and happy Tuesday.  I am popping in quickly to post 2 cards I created today.  One of the challenges is ending, so I will be quick.

So many challenges involve hearts or love, so I made this card using MFT Heart Balloon dies and the colors at MFT Color Challenge #158.  And, yes, I am still putting pandas on practically everything I do!  I am also entering this card at Shopping Our Stash #438: Love is in the Air, Use Your Stuff #415: Hearts, Happy Little Stampers CAS: Love is In the Air, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Love and/or Hearts, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes.

.

I am joining in on the 9th birthday celebration at Uniko stamps.  Happy Birthday to Uniko!!  I used Uniko Mid Century Modern stamps and the colors at CAS Colours & Sketches #405 to make my birthday card.  My gemstone accents are green, although they are not really showing up as green in this photo.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  It's a big day of card posts for me.  Not only am I posting the 4 creations I made this weekend, but I had a go live early this morning, where I posted 8 cards I made with the card kit Tracey sent me when I was her guest at The 12 Kits of Occasions.

First up for today is this birthday card.  I started by using the PTI balloon stencil to stencil a colorful background of balloons.  Next, I die cut the sentiment out of black cardstock, and then adhered a piece of vellum to the back of the die cut.  I liked that you can see the balloons behind the die cut, but the vellum mutes the colors a bit, allowing the die cut to shine.

I am entering this card at Ink to Paper Birthday Card challenge, AAA Birthday #21: Stenciled Background, and Seize the Birthday #206: Vellum.

Next up are 2 cards that both follow the colors from MFT Color Challenge #158 and the top row of the tic tac toe challenge at The Paper Players #526 (die cut, animal, scene).  I used the MFT Critter Caravan die and sent a zebra and panda off to a birthday party.

Those zebras still wanted to party, so I made an additional card inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #526.  I thought a large stenciled balloon would make a festive stand in for the oval in the sketch.  Flowers are the gift of choice at this birthday party.

Last up is a card for the (dreaded) one layer challenge at AAA Cards #182.  I taped off a vertical strip and blended 3 different colors of Catherine Pooler inks.  Then I stamped a silhouette image and sentiment from Picket Fence Dear Best Friend.

3 Cards for Thursday

Hello and happy Thursday.  My first card is a pyramid of pandas, kind of like a bunch of gymnasts.  They are forming the tree shape in this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #519, and using the colors from this week's MFT Color Challenge #155.  My pandas are from Panda Pals, and they are holding some balloons from Happy Hippos.

I am also entering this card at Watercooler Wednesday 301: Occasions and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Favorite Techniques (die cutting, heat embossing, copic coloring and fussy cutting--I have a lot of favorite techniques).

My next card is inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #465 and the challenge at AAA Cards #180: Made in Minutes + Christmas.  This card was so very quick to make, and the key was to grab something that was completed a long time ago, and was just in a pile of things to eventually use.  All I had to do to make this a card was to dry emboss the card front with snowflakes and adhere the tag with foam tape.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Let it Snow and Use Your Stuff #412: Winter/Snow/Christmas.

My last card is a fun birthday shaker card.  I can't remember where I got those rainbow shaker elements are, but they sure are cute.  I used the Cafe All Day dies to create my boba birthday shaker, and paired it with a sentiment from Mama Elephant Boba Tea.  I am entering this card at CAS(E) this Sketch #401,  The Birthday Project at MFT (birthday shaker), and Watercooler Wednesday 301: Occasions.
