CASology Week #227: Space

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is space.  I must admit that this one initially stumped me.  I could not think of anything that was not 'outer space' related, and I have no stamps for that.

I turned to the dictionary, which provided many additional ideas.  I decided to make my card focused on the 'NEGATIVE SPACE' on my card.  There is no stamping on this card.  Everything of interest happens in the negative space made by my full sized Happy Birthday die.

I used Copic markers in a rainbow of colors to color in the negative space of one of the happy birthday's.

Now it's your turn.  How does SPACE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

We are sponsored this week by Pink & Main.

Our Guest Designer is Jessica.

My Crafty Week

Here are some pictures of what I've been working on this week.

A huge thank you to my bestie Kim, who sent me a million die cuts for my new MFT Polar Bear Stamps.  I used one of the bears on this card, inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #265.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

One more card with those adorable polar bears...this one inspired by the sketch at Case This Sketch #200, which I flipped.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #222: Make Your Mark.

My next card was inspired by this beauty of Leigh's.  I stamped a city scene for the Male Room #49 where the challenge is ???? Scapes and I decided to stamp a city scape.

I used a spotlight technique, and colored everything that is part of the die cut Christmas tree green. I left the rest of the buildings grey.  Here is a better view of the dimension of the Christmas Tree.

I am entering this card at Just Us Girls #372: Christmas Tree, Simon Says Monday O' Christmas Tree, and AAA Cards #79 Christmas.

One more holiday card from me--this one using these really fun holiday light dies from Lawn Fawn.  I used colors from CAS Colours and Sketches #202:  Seasonal Colors.  I chose the color scheme from challenge #189.  Can you see all the shimmer on those lights from Wink of Stella?  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #123: CAS with Sparkle and CAS on Sunday #97: Christmas.

The last thing I made this week is a card set for my neice who is studying to become a teacher.  I am entering this set at Less is More #305, where the challenge is to use primary colors.  There are 8 flat cards with matching envelopes.

More Tags!!

I am popping in with the last batch of tags I have been working on.  I wanted to get them linked up to Tracey's 25 Tags of Christmas challenge before it closed.  Have you been following along with this challenge?  Can you believe how much inspiration is over there?

I made a set of tags using Sweet Holiday Wishes--they have me craving a cookie.  I was inspired by this week's Make it Monday #268: Double Layer Tags.

I am loving the new Christmas Cuts tags, and whipped up a bunch of them to decorate some home made holiday treats.

And, last up, more Christmas Cut tags, in a variety of colors, with most of the sentiments from that set embossed in white.

Time Out #71...Reminder...Merry & Bright

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is:

Christmas with the optional twist of using glitter or shimmer

I die cut a bow out of glitter paper and paired it with a sentiment and image stamped in silver.  The stamping is very shimmery in person.  I think this might be the quickest card I have ever made, once I figured out where everything would go.  It was all done with just one stamp.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Valentyna, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Uniko is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Happy Little Stampers Case The Designer December 2016

Wow, it is December already.  Hard to believe that the year is almost over.

We have a special challenge at Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer this month.  Half of the design team is putting their CASE cards up again for another opportunity for you to CASE.

Perhaps you missed a card the first time around....or you liked CASEing something so much, you want to try it again.

Whatever your approach, I hope you will play along with us this month.

Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers CASE the Designer blog to see all the possible inspiration cards, and happy crafting.

And, on a personal note, this is my last month posting as a designer on the Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer Challenge.  My current DT term ends this month and I have decided not to renew due to lack of time and too many competing priorities.  I expect to play along next year as a participant in the revamped version of this challenge as a Water Coloring challenge.  I've loved my time on the Happy Little Stampers team, and want to thank Kylie and all my teammates for putting up with me.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: November, 2016

It's time for our November12 Kits of Occasions group post.  Our host this month is Kim from Cupcakes, Cards and Kim  and her theme is "Happy Howlidays ".  How cute is that?  Kim sent out a wonderful kit with the most adorable images and pattern papers I fell in love with.  I love collecting pattern paper pads, but rarely actually use them.  You will see that I used these patterned papers in every card.  That is how much I loved the papers.

Here is a peek at the kit Kim sent.

There is a lot to see, so I'll get right to it.

When I thought I was done, I still could not stop using those patterned papers, so I made a bunch of tags that I am also using to play along with Tracey's 12 Tag's of Christmas Challenge.

I still did not use everything that Kim put in the kit, but I really tried.  At least I think I have fewer leftovers than usual.  Thanks so much, Kim, for sending such a wonderful kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs.  You can also see who is our special Guest Designer this month.
