Crafty Round Up

Hello and happy Sunday.  A lot has been going on here behind the scenes, and I am finally taking a breath to post a few cards I've made over the past I-Don't-Know-How-Long.

First up is my first creation from the newest MFT Stamps kit called Greetings from the Couch.  For some reason, this kit really spoke to me.  Maybe it's because I practically never leave my house, or maybe it's because I know I need to go couch shopping soon.

I was inspired by the black and yellow colors at Color Hue #42, the photo from Inkspiration #266 (although I must admit my home scene is way tidier than the inspiration photo), Addicted to Stamps and More #430: Die Cuts, and Seize the Birthday #239: no topping.

Next up is this little cutie that combines two different MFT gnome sets I recently purchased.  Aren't they adorable?  This is a birthday card for a friend who loves gnomes.  I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday #239: no topping.

I don't know when the babies will start to arrive in my family, but I will be ready.  This one is going into the stash.  I am entering it at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Little Critters.

The next 4 cards will also be entered at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Little Critters, and I made them all using some new mini sets from Colorado Craft.  I am newly obsessed with their adorable mice, and all the fun these critters can get into.

This first card was a graduation card for my youngest who just graduated from college.  I my mind, that stylish mouse is carrying a suitcase, off to tackle the world.

In this card, our brave little mouse is an artist, making art that makes them happy.

And a pair of cards celebrating marriage and anniversary.  Just love these little mice love birds.

Last up is a graduation card for a nephew who plans to study Architecture.  I thought that The Greetery Big Plans background would be the perfect backdrop for this card.  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #430: Die Cuts.

Make a Wish and Celebrate

My good friend Tracey is the inspiration at MUSE #174, so I had to play along.  I fell in love with the cute scene and critters in Tracey's card, so I pulled out some of my cute critters.

Tracey's Inspiration Card

I started with a sponged background of Shabby Shutters on the bottom and Tumbled Glass above.  I colored, fussy cut and popped up my deer, goose and bird.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite cards I have made recently, so thank you Tracey for the inspiration.  I am also linking this card up at Just Us Girls #351: Sponging, Addicted to Stamps and More #202: Make Your Mark, Simon Says Monday Flora and Fauna, and Simon Says Wednesday Create a Scene.

My next card is inspired by this card below, done by Maile to highlight her newest stamp set.

I was inspired by the leaves, colors and design of Maile's card.  I used the same three ink colors--Simply Chartreuse, Aqua Mist and Limeade Ice, leaves from Leave it Be, and a sentiment from Good Times.

Thanks for Visiting

CASology Week 104: Pet

Happy Tuesday--time for a new challenge at CASology.  Our cue word this week is PET.  I think this is a really fun one.  I was going to make a card with a dog on it, since I am in love with the puppy we adopted almost a year ago.  However, I think a lot of people have puppies as pets, so I decided to feature our other pet...Ace the Rat!  Many people do not know that rats make terrific pets--they are clean, furry and very sweet.  So, this week was supposed to be Ace's turn for the spotlight.

I fell in love with Avery Elle Storybook stamps, mostly because of the cute rat image (actually I think it is a mouse, but I never told Ace that.)  I paper pieced a little scene in honor of our pet rat, Ace.

Now, for the sad news....Ace died last Thursday--after I made this card for him, but before I needed to post it.  He lived a long life (for a rat) and was loved so much.  We really miss him.  Here is a picture of Ace with his adopted puppy brother, Sherlock.

Now, it is your turn.  What do you think of when you see the word PET?  What pets do you have?  What is the most unusual pet you have ever had?  Have some fun with the cue word PET, and then please link up your creation on the CASology blog by Monday at noon (CST).  If you'd like, please post a picture of your pets--I think it would be fun to see your pets.

Check out the beautiful designs from the CASology Design Team members and see how they were inspired by PET.

Don't forget to keep your card Clean and Simple.
