Tuesday Quick Post

One more post for me today....a super quick one to link up two cards using some older PTI products.

This card uses PTI Butterfly Folk, and I am entering it at the Ink to Paper Challenge to make a Folk Art card.  I am also entering at Less is More #432: Blue & Silver, Retro Rubber #147: Anything Goes (stamps are 2-3 years old), and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Remembrance (I remembered your anniversary!!).

To make this card, I heat embossed the biggest butterfly from Butterfly Folk using silver embossing powder.  Then, I sponged Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink all over the butterfly, aiming to go just over the outer edge, creating sort of a halo effect with the blue.  My sentiment is from PTI Uncorked, and I just stamped it on a scrap, cut it out, and popped it up with foam tape.

I also made a quick card for the Ink to Paper Challenge Melissa's Fab Friday Feature, which was so make a holiday project.  I used some papers that PTI sold which had all the elements from Holiday Folk stamps.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  Popping in with a quick post of 4 cards I made this weekend.

First up is a card for the current challenge at Poppystamps Challenge #72: Cards for Kids, using the colors at Color Throwdown #612 (the colors in my photo are not true to life--the mice on the left are light aqua IRL and the squirrels and fox on the right are light blue). My sentiments are from PTI The Skinny (about the only thing skinny around here these days, what with quarantine baking, etc.) and they are probably 5 years old, so I am entering this card at Retro Rubber #144: Anything Goes.  I am also playing along at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics, AAA Birthday #17: Animals & Critters and Watercooler Wednesday #290:  All About Occasions.

I used a few of the Poppystamps Whittle dies to create 3 mini scenes on my slimline card.  The slimline dies are from Mama Elephant, and I am finding that using windows, like the ones on this filmstrip, makes it much easier to make a slimline card--otherwise the card somehow seems too big to tackle.

Next up is a card featuring the adorable new foxes from Mama Elephant--Little Fox Agenda and Winter Fox.  All those foxes, plus a few tiny snowmen and birds are making themselves at home in the snowy forest created by the PTI Winter Woods cover plate die.

I am entering this card at AAA Birthday #17: Animals & Critters, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics. and Watercooler Wednesday #290:  All About Occasions.

For my next card, I turned my attention to the upcoming holidays and made a Christmas card and will enter this card at the Ink to Paper Challenge.  My design was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #454, and I am entering this card at Retro Rubber #144: Anything Goes (my stamps are from 2015), Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics and Watercooler Wednesday #290:  All About Occasions.

Last of all today is a card inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #391, and more specifically, Michele's inspiration card here.  I am also entering this card at Watercooler Wednesday #290:  All About Occasions.  My leaves are from The Greetery Petite Eucalyptus, and the texture on my boxes come from Lil Inkers Circles & Diamonds cover plate.  Always good to have a supply of sympathy cards, especially when I don't need one.

Well, that's it for me today.  Stay safe, and keep on crafting.

Time Out #130...Reminder...Unique

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is 'we challenge you to be....  We are challenging you to be UNIQUE.

Our sponsor this challenge is Catherine Pooler, and I was lucky enough to get several of her fabulous ink colors to play with.  I decided to create a whimsical winter scene, with some very unique penguins in Party Dress, Lime Rickey, Aquatini, Something Borrowed and Flirty Fuschia.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Elizabeth, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.   Catherine Pooler  is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

My Crafty Weekend

Sit down and grab a cup of tea.  I had a super crafty weekend, and now I am going to get everything posted before I head out for the afternoon.

First up is my CASE of this gorgeous card by Ardyth for MUSE #242.

Ardyth's Inspiration Card

I normally try to replicate the card when I CASE, but this time I tried to do something different.  I was inspired by the white and grey color scheme and the Christmas theme, and tried to be inspired in a different approach.

Next up is another jumping reindeer card for Just Add Ink #386: Just Add "R" challenge.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #268: Holiday.  You can see my first jumping reindeer card here.

My next card is for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Furry Friends and The Male Room #73: Paper Piecing.  I colored the cat and dogs with Copics and paper pieced their hat, scarf and antlers.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Inkspirational #148: Christmas card using only neutral colors.

Less is More #355 challenges us to CASE a really cute card.  Here is the card to CASE.

Inspirational Card

I was inspired by the design of the card and the cute and colored holiday focal point.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations #432 and also by this card by Michelle during the PTI release.

And, a second, slightly different version.

This card was inspired by the colors at this week's Color Throwdown #469.

Ok, last one.  Thanks for sticking around.

I am entering this birthday card at Seize the Birthday where the optional topping is Circles, Simon Says Monday challenge: It's a Stitch Up, and AAA Cards #103: Celebrate.

Two Flat Card Sets

Hello.  I was inspired by the challenge at Make it Monday #267 where we were encouraged to use assembly line card making.  I made two note card sets and a little pouch to hold them.  I stamped all the envelopes with just the tree and little bird, and you can see one of the envelopes in the upper right of this photo.

Each set contains 4 thank you cards--flat cards made from 1/4 piece of card stock.  The sentiment is from Wet Paint and the other images are from Holiday Folk.  I will enter these thank you cards at Simon Says Wednesday where the challenge is Thanks/Thanksgiving.

The other 4 cards all say just a note, and use the same stamps as the thank you cards.

Here is how the two sets look all packaged up.  I used a tutorial I saw at Splitcoast Stampers, although it turns out that the tutorial was for 4x4 cards, so I modified the measurements to fit my A2 sized cards.  The stamped bow is from Avery Elle Beautiful Bow.

I am going to enter these card sets at Addicted to Stamps and More #219

This is what the pouches look like when they are opened up.
