CASology Week #219: Spooky

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
spooky.  Perfect as we head into the final days before Halloween.  I used a few die cuts leftover from the Halloween kit that Jeanne sent me.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: September, 2016

It's time for our September 12 Kits of Occasions group post.  Our host this month is Jeanne from A Kept Life, and her theme is "This is Halloween".  I am not kidding you when I say that my kit arrived in a large cardboard BOX, bursting at the seams.  Here is a peek at the Kit Jeanne sent.

Here are the cards I made this month.  I kind of left it to the last minute, and I am so glad that I got the self assembling card kit.  7 cards magically put themselves together before I could blink.  Of course, I have so many left over supplies--wonderful bits I just did not have time to work with--I am set for life for Halloween.

ColourQ #314...Witch's Brew

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.   I know I said I was DONE with Halloween, but honestly, this color scheme just demanded one more Halloween card.  Plus, I realized that I bought the die for this broom and witch's boots and hadn't even used it, so bear with me for one more Halloween card.

I colored this image with Copics, and used the same Copics to color just the edges of the die cut layers underneath.  I learned that trick somewhere, and it really comes in handy when I do not have the exact color of paper to match my markers.

Guest Designer: Addicted to CAS #76....Spooky

I am so happy today to be joining in on the fun as a Guest Designer at Addicted to CAS.  We have a very fun challenge this week, and one that is so very fitting as we near the end of October and get closer to Halloween.

I used Petite Places stamps and dies to create a spooky little CAS scene on my card.

CASology Week #169: Zombie

Hello and happy Tuesday.  Time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is Zombie.

I had to stretch myself and get creative with this cue word, as I could not find an actual zombie stamp in my vast stash of stamps.  I decided to use this mummie die cut that Jessica sent to me as part of last month's 12 Kits of Occasions--I think that a mummy dressed like a pirate with a couple of festive bandages and one googlie eye qualifies as a zombie--what do you think?

Time Out #42...Trick or Treat

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, our challenge is Home Sweet Home and we are inspired by this photo.

I was inspired by the orange, black and white color scheme as well as the idea of Halloween.  I did not intend for this card to involve only die cuts and no stamping, but that is just the direction it took. I coated the black die cut bat with black WOS, and it is much more visible in person.

ColourQ #312...have a WICKED Halloween

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.   We have another group of colors that said Halloween to me.  I created a sky by blending Distress Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber.  I used a black spooky Halloween die cut that was a gift from a crafting friend, bats stamped in Gray Flannel and a sentiment from SU Wicked.  Another Halloween card done.
