My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I'm starting out with a card that is a total CASE of my friend Lindsey's card here.  I used a mask with a circle cut out in combination with a mask of a NYC die cut to create my focal point.  I sponged a night sky using an ombre collection of Distress inks, then added my Santa sleigh and reindeer up in the sky and my sentiment down below.  It's hard to see in this photo, but I used WOS to add glitter to my Santa sleigh and reindeer.

I am entering this card at ABC Christmas: U is for Up in the Air, Just Us Girls #557: Ombre, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make it Sparkle.

AAA Cards #176 asks for a card with a cozy scene in the corner.  I had two ideas for this challenge.  Here is the first, using Mama Elephant Sincerely Yours stamps and a PTI cover plate for dry embossing.

I am also entering this card at WWC292 and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Dry Embossing.

Here is my second idea for AAA Cards #176, using Newton's Nook Book Club for this card. I am also entering this card at Festive Friday #69: (cat, embossing, clean & simple) and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Dry Embossing.

Last up are 2 very quick to make cards inspired by the colors at Color Hues #3 and the challenge at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make it Sparkle.

I used a 3D embossing folder I just got from Altenew and a technique from this video of Jennifer McGuires.  I 'swinked' my gold Delicata ink directly onto the embossed card stock--only the very highest layer got just a touch of gold.  I am also entering this at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Dry Embossing.

Last up is the other card for Color Hues #3.  I was also inspired for this card by the challenge at Ink to Paper to make a 'beautifully simple card'.  I stamped the largest butterfly from PTI Ever So Much in Gold Delicata ink on cream card stock.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #223: Angle it.

My Crafty Week....with some very special visitors

Happy Sunday.  Get ready for lots of photos.  I was lucky enough to host some crafty friends this week.  On Tuesday, Kim, Jacquie and I got inky together.  We had such fun, and were very productive.

Kim and I took a break from crafting to take Sherlock for a walk on the beach.

OK, on to the cards.  Here is my favorite of the bunch.  I stamped the city skyline image from Concord & 9th and then sponged a rainbow over the buildings.  This card took 8 minutes and 8 seconds, and the reason I timed myself was for the Inkspiration Challenge #166: Make a card in 10 minutes or less.  I am also entering this card at Just Add Ink #420, where the inspiration photo was a rainbow flower.

Kim and I started our first crafting session by watching this week's video PTI Make it Monday #331: Creating Mixed Background Texture.   I finally broke out PTI Stitching Garden for this card.  I am also entering this card at CAS On Friday #138: Tag It.

I was inspired to transform this card I made a couple of weeks ago, adding some more ice cream cones and using my newest PTI ice cream set, Sweet Treats.  I am entering this card at PTI Transformation Tuesday Challenge.

Transformed Card

I inked up another new PTI set for the pets challenge at Less is More #377.  I followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #348.  I don't have a cat anymore, but this kitty sleeping in the window reminds me of the cat I had before I got married.

I used a different image from that same stamp set for my next card, which I am entering at AAA Cards #121: Friendship.

Up next is a card I started at Tracey's house, using some cute jungle animal stamps.  I am entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Monday: Wild Things and Addicted to CAS #142: Masculine.

Another card started at Tracey's, this one for Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Make your Own Background and Seize the Birthday: Water.  I created the background by sponging Distress Oxide inks and then sprinkling water.

The Male Room #91 is celebrating their 5th birthday, and I have this card made with Concord & 9th Birthday Stacks stamps.

Last but not least is this card, made with CAS-ual Fridays Amber Waves and Lovely Greetings.  I am entering this card at Calling All Sistahs #15 where I used their suggested color scheme of red, white, blue and gray, and also at CAS-ual Fridays #105: Stamp a Pattern.

CASology Week #300...Copper

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is COPPER.  I decided to work with some copper embossing powder, and used it on this beautiful butterfly image from PTI.

Her is a better angle so you can see the copper embossing.  Straight on in the photo, it looks brown, but you can see the copper and the sheen in this photo below.

Now it's your turn.  How does COPPER inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

With Sympathy

I am popping in with a super quick card I made for 3 challenges.  I liked the card I made for last week's Make it Monday so much, I decided to make it again for PTI's Transformation Tuesday.  I changed the colors, the embossing, the occasion, and the orientation of the stamps.

Here is the original card:
