Weekly Wrap Up...Three Cards for Fun

Good morning and happy Saturday.  I hope everyone has fun weekend plans.  I finally have a day without DT scheduled posts, and so I am taking advantage of the break to post a few cards I have made just for fun (gasp!) over the course of this week.

First up is a card I made for Addicted to CAS #74 Sparkle Challenge.  I used Avery Elle Beautiful Bows and some sparkly gold ink for my card--I was going for the stacked gift look.

Next up is a card I made inspired by one of the cards posted by Dawn during the PTI release festivities this week.  Dawn's card used a new stamp set that seemed pretty similar to a set I bought last year from PTI called Fair Isle Motifs.  I used a single image from the set, and put my Misti to work getting everything (mostly) lined up and stamped across the entire card front.  I used Peaceful Pinecones in place of the greenery Dawn used.  I am entering this card at Create Along With Us.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #166:  Anything Goes.

Last up--a card with Copic Coloring featuring my newest Serendipity stamp--this fantastic sentiment which I have wanted forever.  The challenge at Serendipity Stamps  SSCB#48: What's New was the perfect challenge to get me to put some ink on this new stamp.

I am also entering this card at Virginia's View #19:  All Things Colored, The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and Marker Pop #79:  Anything Goes.

Friends Forever

Hello and happy Friday.  I've been busy this week packing up most of my house--we are getting new carpet, and I had no idea it would be so much work.  I hope I like it.  I did have time to sneak into my craft room to make a card--of course, the craft room will be the last room I pack up.

I was inspired by this photo at a new challenge called Pinterest Inspired.  I loved the colors and the pattern and I was inspired to stamp and color my own background panel.  Hard to see, but my front panel is impressed with the Canvas/Linen Impression Plate.

Once I had my stamped background panel, I decided to turn it into a card by playing along at this week's Time Out Challenge #37, where the theme is 'Friendship is Golden'.

I cut a piece of striped vellum with a Journal Card die and stamped 'forever' in black.  I die cut the word 'friends' once out of gold and 4 times out of black and stuck it on the vellum as well.  That also gave me a nice place to put the adhesive to stick the vellum on to my card front.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #156 Anything Goes.

This card will be going to my best friend from high school, who I just spend an hour talking to on the phone when I should have been packing.  Time well spent, in my opinion.

Thanks for Visiting
