PTI November 2014 Blog Hop
This month's blog hop is all about snow. Living in San Diego, stamped snow is about all I can get. I had some crazy idea about pulling all my PTI holiday and snow related stamps and dies and trying to use all of them for this blog hop. I didn't quite make it through even half, but I did have a good time trying.
I think my favorite of the bunch is this little Whoville-like village I created with Wonderfully Whimsical--one of my favorite stamp sets that doesn't get nearly enough love. I drew the snow with a paint pen onto my Distress Inked sky
City Scene, another favorite stamp set that I haven't used in a long time. I used the sketch at Wanna Sketch #22 for this card,
I used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #101 for my next 3 cards.
Edited to add that I am also linking this snowflake card up at Stampin' Celebration SC92 (Thanks Kimberly) in their It's a Little Holiday Inspiration Challenge, where the inspiration is this gorgeous photo.
My next card uses the sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping #313.
I pulled out Holiday Home and some embossing past for my next card.
This card uses a birch tree stencil and some stamps and dies from In the Meadow.
And, finally--a sweater to warm you on a snowy day...
That's it for me. I think next year, I will try to make something with all of my Christmas and holiday stamps, but I will need to give myself more time.
Happy hopping and thanks for visiting today.
You've been busy Joyce! So many cards all totally different and each one is amazing! Love all the inspiration on this post!
ReplyDeleteOK, I could just stay here (on your blog) and enjoy the whole day! Inspiration on steroids, lovely and varied themes. Hate to play favorites, don't want to hurt card feelings, but your 'Whoville' is so darn cute and fun. Mind if I pin? Too clever. Happy Thanksgiving, Joyce!

ReplyDeleteJoyce, all of them are amazing -- but your little Whoville village!! Ack! You're showing me I don't have to color to get Wonderfully Whimsical! :) I love that one!! :) Such lovely cards, all of them.

What a showcase of PTI stamp sets - love the whimsical village and the Fair Isle set that shows up a couple of times!
ReplyDeleteWow, Joyce, I love all of them! But the Whoville one is my particular favourite and I am so needing that stamp set. Oh, and I also have a soft spot for the City Scene card. While some may enjoy Christmas in the country, my dream has always been to spend it in NYC. In a luxury hotel overlooking Central Park. Haha.

ReplyDeleteWOW, you have been busy! All are wonderful but I especially love the sweet Wonderfully Whimsical design--so happy!
ReplyDeleteWOW, you set the bar high and I think you did pretty darn great with these cards. Even with the same theme of snow they all look so different and fabulous in their own way. My favorites are your Whoville card (so cute!!), the silhouette of the deer in the trees (gorgeous background for such a serene scene), and the red sweater (such a warm card in more ways than one). Amazing you made so many cards.... Happy Thanksgiving Joyce!!
ReplyDeletewow...tons of eye candy!

ReplyDeleteJoyce, I don't even know who won the PTI gift cards, but I'd certainly picked you! You are incredible...where did you find the time?! I love each for different reasons, but I gotta say...my favorite is the season's greetings one with the Tinsel kit supplies. It is THE card that stood out to me from all the blog hop entries. It's gorgeous. I'm pinning it. And I'm glad that it is Thanksgiving and I'm feeling grateful for all I have otherwise I might be feeling really sad for not having bought that kit. :)
ReplyDeleteSure glad I don't have to pick a favorite from all these charming cards. They said snow, and you went crazy creating. Congrats on your PTI win - you so deserve it. Happy Thanksgiving!
