My Crafty Round Up

Hello friends.  I am posting my creations from the long weekend on a Tuesday because I ran out of time yesterday.  I guess the long weekend was not long enough.

First up is a card for Ink to Paper: What Do I Do With This:  Stencil Blended Background Challenge.  I used the Papertrey Balloon Stencil to blend a rainbow of balloons on to my card front.  It doesn't show in the photo, but I covered all the balloons with a generous layer of Wink of Stella.  I used a die cut and fussy cut sentiment strip to add my sentiment to the background.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #240: Hot Air Balloon (rainbow balloon inspiration), and The Rainbow Card Challenge #30: Radically Rainbow.

Next up is another card inspired by an Ink to Paper challenge--this one is the Great Cover Up Challenge to just use white cardstock.  I took a piece of white card stock and completely covered it with Distress Oxide inks--Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Shabby Shutters.  I blended until I had a really nice green ombre look, and then I die cut that panel with the In The Woods Cover plate.  I glued that onto a white card base, and stamped a birthday sentiment from Pen and Ink.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #198: Ombre.

My next card was inspired by the color challenge at Inky Paws #149 and Less is More #444: Favorite Technique (Copic Coloring).  I am such a fan of the Newton's Nook Holding Happiness stamps, and pull them out quite often.  I love how versatile they are.  I have had these stamps for at least 2 years, so am entering this card at Retro Rubber #159: Anything Goes, and Addicted to Stamps and More #406: Make Your Mark.

Last up is a pair of Father's Day cards that I will be entering at Stay Crafty with Hero Arts #23: Fun in the Sun and Cupcake Inspirations #520: Father's Day or Masculine.  I used the My Monthly Hero kit from December 2020 for these cards.  I am also entering this first card at The Male Room #150: Water/Beach.

Happy Howl-idays

Hello and happy Wednesday.  I am popping in quickly to share a card I made for a few holiday challenges.  I used stamps from 2 different Newton's Nook stamp sets...Holding Happiness and Canine Christmas, and with a little masking and coloring, created this festive holiday card.   I borrowed a pair of elf shoes from another stamp set, to turn my present-holding gal into an elf.

I am entering this card at Inky Paws #137, Fusion: Merry Joy Cheer (Christmas theme and RED), Inkspirational #227 (Red ornaments, Christmas theme, Cute furry pet), Retro Rubber #149: Merry Christmas (Christmas theme and red--my Canine Christmas stamps are 3 years old), SOSS #174: E is for Elves, WWC300: Anything Goes Feminine, and ABC Christmas Challenge Y & Z (Y is for your favourite things...a puppy!)

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I had so much fun playing with some adorable stamped images sent to me by Kim. I fell in love with these two puppies sharing an ice cream soda, and knew I had to make a card right away.  Aren't they an adorable pair?

I was inspired by the sketch at Fusion, the bricks and pop of yellow from Inspired By #140, and the theme at SOSS #168: F is for Friendship.

Next up is a birthday card, using the colors at Inky Paws #131.  I was inspired by the sketch at AAA Cards #173, the theme at CAS on Friday #188: Party Time, and Seize the Birthday #198: No Topping.

I am a total sucker for stamps with books or reading, so this cutie from MFT caught my eye.  I used this week's MFT Sketch #505, making all of my card panels white to keep the card from looking too busy.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday #198: No Topping.

My next card uses the colors at MFT Color #148 and the same sketch above.  My challenge to myself was to make something other than a Halloween card, so I pulled out MFT Fall Florals and made a get well card.

My next card had me reaching for some old favorite floral stamps from PTI, Cutting Garden.  I was inspired by the colors at Color Throwdown #609 and the challenge at Ink to Paper to make a Thanks project.  I am also entering this card at WWC287.

I am entering all five of my cards today at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Stamp It.

A Little Weekday Crafting

Hello and happy Wednesday!  I just got the cutest stamp set from Newton's Nook called Holding Happiness, and I just had to ink it up right away and start coloring.

The first card I made is inspired by the colors at Inky Paws #128 and the photo at Fusion Summer.

My next card is inspired by the color challenge at Cupcake Inspirations #498.  Each of those tiny flowers on the package has a little dab of Stickles for fun.

Well, if you are familiar with this stamp set, my third card will not be a surprise.  I could not decide which of the 3 fun images to use, so I used them all!  I am entering this card at AAA Cards #170.

Do you have a favorite of the three cards above?

Moving on....this next card was inspired by the sketch at The Paper Players #501.  The colors were Copics I had already out on my desk, and I made the little plaid piece using the same markers I used on the balloons.

Last up is a card that I hope will sit in my stash for a long time.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches #381 and the stamps are my latest purchase from The Greetery Budding Beauties Summer.  I am happy to report that even though this flower was a 4 step process, it was extremely easy to get everything lined up properly.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is Anything Goes, and I will be entering all of these cards over there.
