Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology. This week, our cue word is SUNSET.
My big dilemma for this cue word...beach or city...beach or city...hmmm. Since I live near the beach but haven't been to a city in ever so long, I decided to go on a virtual visit to the big city with my card. I created a sunset color scheme by blending several colors of distress inks on the top 1/3 of my card front, and then adhered the Cityscape die cut by Mama Elephant right on top.
This is a pretty simple design, and one that allows for a lot to be going on in just 1/3 of the card, and the rest of the card to be open white space.
Now it's your turn. How does SUNSET inspire you?
As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
- One main image
- Lots of open space, uncluttered
- Limited layers & embellishments
- Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
I hope you play along this week.
Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from our Guest Designer Marina and the design team. We are sponsored this week by Uniko.
Thanks for Visiting
Ooh, beautiful! Such a perfect blended sunset for the cityscape silhouette. I love how the colours double for the lit-up windows!
