I am just popping in quickly to post 2 cards with some cute critters. I am entering both of these cards at Stay Crafty with Hero #14: Critters and A Blog Named Hero: Cute.
My first card is also inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #387, and also uses the Chalkboard Technique from the Less is More #427 Challenge. I am also entering at Inspired By: Give a Dog a Bone.
This card uses Hero Arts stamps Birthday Paw-ty and Chalkboard Birthday.
This card pairs a new-to-me Hero Arts stencil that I think is called Nature Patterns with an older Hero Arts stamp set called Woodland Creatures. One thing I have to say....these critters look so cute and friendly on my card, but we have raccoons sometimes, and they are NOT cute in person--quite fierce. Also, we have a lot of skunks passing through who seem to love spraying my dog...yuk. So, if possible, I'd like to keep all future encounters with woodland creatures to paper ones, not IRL.
Thanks for Visiting
Oh my....love both of your sweet and adorable critter cards! So much fun. Your story is just so cute too but I have to agree with you, I used to go hunting with my dad and every once is a while one our dogs would get a nasty dose of skunk. So I am with you, lets keep those critters the paper versions.
ReplyDeleteTwo adorable card Joyce. Love that little pup ready to pounce on that cupcake! Thanks for joining us at IB!
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards with the CAS chalkboard card being perfect for our challenge at Less is More. Thanks for playing!

These are so adorable and fun, love the cupcake/birthday theme with your four-legged friend, so cute! I love your designs too! Thank you for inspiring us @ IB this week, can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I can't stop checking out your first card, that puppy jumping up and the half embossed chalkboard is so cool! Love your sweet critters in the forest too!
ReplyDeleteI could have sworn I stopped in to tell you how much I loved your chalkboard card, but I must have been mistaken. Feeling so nutty these days. I love your different take on the technique. Your card is adorable. It is always fun to see you anywhere, but especially in my challenges. xx Thanks for playing with us at Less Is More.
ReplyDeleteI love the off-the-edge design of your first card - so much movement and interest! Raccoons and skunks have been not too bad for us this year - but the squirrels are loving our tomatoes and peppers, grr. But on paper, they are all so cute! Perfect with the stencilled background.
