I thought of precious metals and precious stones, and decided to use some PTI Luxe Gold paper for the metal and a Facets cover plate die from W&W and jewel toned papers for my precious stones. I used the die to cut multiple times from all my different papers, and then pieced it back together. Yes, it took a long time...
I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.
Now, it's your turn. How are you inspired by PRECIOUS? I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Took at long time to piece that all together but totally worth it! Its one gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this card! The rich, vibrant colors bring to mind gems and I like the offset panels. I do not have this die but I have a similar MFT die, however, it has fewer little pieces. Quilts have always been a fav of mine and the piecing of this die (and MFT's) remind me of that. Seems like I've made a half dz pieced cards with it and they all were a hit. Next time I will try cutting just a section of it and using yours or a similar sketch. THANKS for the inspiration! :)I
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, Joyce! Your precious gem stones are so gorgeous!!! What a great take on the cue this week!
ReplyDeleteHey Joyce!! I love your card. I love the precious look it give to. Mosaic pieces are super delicate. Nicely done. I've been eyeing that stamp set for a while now, I might get it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Joyce. Now I'm waiting to see what you do with the leftovers. ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! This is one of those dies I just had to have and its fabulous in jewel tones. I'm definitely going to have to try this out myself!
