Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology. This week, our cue word is FLIGHT. I decided to break out my new Altenew Painted Butterflies set for the first time and played around with the different images in the set.
There are so many different ways you could go with this cue word. I am excited to see how you interpret it.
I am also linking this card up at CAS on Sunday where the theme is white and one other color.
Here is some bonus inspiration because I was still playing around with Painted Butterflies. I'm entering this card at Simon Says Monday Anything Goes.
Head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.
Oh Joyce! I love these dreamy butterflies! The embossing is so rich looking too!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Joyce and I love your whimsical butterflies. I haven't tried any Alte New stamps yet but you are tempting me with these!

You have used those Altenew butterflies in such a way that they are creeping up on my wish list!! Stunning cards - the background on the first is so cool - is that an embossing folder or is it scored? And then - the white and black with that gorgeous side border just has me floored!! Yummy and awesome cards - the flitted there way into my heart!!
ReplyDeleteTHese butterflies are so pretty and artistic in style - I love the layered stamping!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards Joyce. Those painted butterflies look so cool.
ReplyDeleteI love how you played with these butterflies, Joyce! Beautiful embossed background on the first card and I love the die cut border on the 2nd one!

Joyce, thanks so much for visiting my blog...looks like we're both enamoured with our new Painted Butterflies! You've showcased yours with far more flair, style and panache than I did (I wasn't sure about the layering, so went with plain, simple and...well. safe *grin*). Yours here: knockouts! Love the background on the first, and the border on the second. Hope you don't mind if I cas yours down the road...soooo stunning! I have the vintage roses to ink up...still watching videos!

ReplyDeleteThose lovely butterflies look like they did take flight, Joyce.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the triangular flight pattern of those lovely butterflies along with the embossing. The second card is terrific too. I really like the black on the second card too. That's a die, correct? Very cool.
