Happy Wednesday. I am so glad to be here posting for my second week as a Guest Designer with Colour Me...! Our color challenge this week is Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Neutral. I do not have that many SU inks, but was happy to see that I did own these two colors. If you only have PTI inks, I would suggest Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado.
I decided to use this color scheme to make a sympathy card. My mom recently came for a visit, and she just about cleaned out my stash of sympathy cards. Time to restock. I used PTI Harvest Berries for my images and a sentiment from Reverse Confetti. This is one of my favorite sympathy sentiments, and Harvest Berries is one of my all time favorite stamp sets. I think it can be used to make both masculine and feminine cards.
You will notice a bit of doodling on this card. Emboldened by the video I watched last week and my experiment on this card, I decided to hand draw a sketchy frame around this card.
I hope you will play along this week at Colour Me...!
Thanks for Visiting

How did I not know you were guest designing? I missed the boat last week. I have always loved that stamp but just never got it. It looks wonderful as a sympathy card and I love your doodling. I'd be afraid I'd goof it up.
ReplyDeleteLovely card...and you were so brave to draw that frame! I think if I tried it, I would do it first so I wouldn't mess up a whole card after all the stamping if I didn't like it!
ReplyDeleteSomehow, green just seems right for a sympathy card. This is really lovely, Joyce. The hand-doodled border finishes this perfectly. Just wonderful. Bev
