Hello and happy Tuesday. Time for another CASology challenge, and this week the cue word is TROPICAL. For all of you in a cold and snowy climate, please take this opportunity to warm up and enjoy the sunshine with this week's challenge.
I made a little tropical sunset scene on my card--I love these Waltzingmouse palm trees because they look just like the ones all over town here where I live. I masked off a circle on my card, and blended and sponged several colors of Distress inks to get my sunset. I stamped the trees and hut, purposely having just a bit of the tree extend outside my inked area. I was a little stumped about where to put my sentiment, finally settling on the lower left side of my focal point--half in and half out of the inked area.
I am also linking up to a few additional challenges: Addicted to CAS #58 where the challenge is Distress, Happy Little Stampers Sponging Challenge, and Simon Says Monday B is for....(beach).
I hope you will play along with us this week, and show us how you are inspired by the word TROPICAL.
Love the drama and rich colours of your sky!
ReplyDelete*sigh* would you believe I'm happy about 40 degrees? Snow's melting, Joyce - cause for celebration, and so is your card! I'll give it a try, but I'm so far from Tropical, it will truly be a challenge!!
