Hello there. I have 2 quick cards to share today. My first card was inspired by the colors at ColourQ #258 and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #91. I used those dangling things (don't know what they are called) to represent the vertical banner in the sketch.
ETA: I am also entering this card at Catherine Pooler.com's Housewarming party. Thanks, Bobby.
My second card uses the embossed resist using die cuts technique at Make it Monday #179. I used this technique to make a background and am entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge to make my own background.
I am also entering both cards at Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge for Stamptember--because of the stamping.
Thanks for Visiting
Fun cards Joyce. I especially love your second one and that awesome background.
ReplyDeleteI am cuckoo for your cuckoo clock Joyce, love the colours you chose and how you worked the sketch!! Your background also very impressive. Glad you popped a couple cards in today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pair of cards Joyce. I especially love the little bird peeking out from the cuckoo clock. I didn't order that set but you're making me regret it!.
ReplyDeleteHope you are well.

Super cards, Joyce! I am totally agog over that sweet birdhouse in those colors! I don't know what the dangly down things are called either, but it's a unique and fabulous take on the sketch! On a turkey, it's called a wattle, on me it's called my neck, but on a clock, I've no clue. Maybe one is called Tick and the other is called Tock?! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeletethese came out great!
ReplyDeleteBoth are fabulous...
ReplyDeletelove the clock and your background is gorgeous! :)
Love the cuckoo clock, Joyce. You need to enter that over at Catherine Pooler.com where the challenge is "home". I love the background, too. I was going to use the same coverplate but I guess I'll try another one.
ReplyDeleteYour background on your second card looks terrific Joyce! But your dark purple cuckoo clock is just too cute! Great use of the colors. So happy you could join us at the ColourQ!

ReplyDeleteTwo really beautiful cards, Joyce! Love, love your cuckoo clock, and your emboss resist using your dies are so pretty! Once again, you've really knocked it out of the park with your designs!
ReplyDeleteThese are both so lovely! And what it treat it is to be able to see cards that are so different from each other, yet still so YOU! You have such a fantastic style that is both clean and warm. I especially loved the color palette you used on the second card and how the "Happy Anniversary" sentiment really pops! You have so much talent and I'm so glad you chose to share these with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
