Happy Wednesday everyone. I have a card today for three challenges. I used the colors from ColourQ cQc #240 and the sketch from Retro Sketches rs#113 (where my bestie Kim is Headliner all month--how awesome is that!!). The challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday is to use 5 of something, and I used 5 items to create my focal point.
I finally had a chance to break out my Lil Inker stitched butterflies for this card, and I have to say that I am in love with that little stitching detail. I made the banner in the background using Background Basics Art Deco in Pear Pizzaz and Always Artichoke (as my substitute for Sage Shadow). It looks black in the photo, but it is actually a dark green.
That's it for me today. I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week.
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card and a great interpretation of our "five" challenge! I am such a layer-a-holic that I don't think I could limit myself to just five items, but you've done a beautiful job! I love the combination of styles and elements that you included and the patterned pennant in the background is the perfect touch to anchor the whole thing. It is both simple and sophisticated and I'm impressed by your "clean" look. I, too, adore what you did the stitching detail! Great work and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
