My first card today is for this week's Color Throwdown CTD250, and I used this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS94. I am also joining the party at Seize the Birthday where anything goes this week.
I broke out my new Avery Elle Chevron Bits dies to cut chevrons in Hawaiian Shores, Kraft, Hibiscus Burst, and Lemon Tart, and then randomly lined them up in a diagonal across the card. I can already tell I will be having a lot of fun with this die. A sentiment and arrow from Live Love Life finishes this card off.
My next card is for this week's WPlus9 Monday Mood Board #16, and I used this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#34. I will also enter this card at Seize the Birthday where anything goes this week.
I am always looking for reasons to cut round windows in my cards, since I got these amazing stitched circle dies from Lil Inker. I did a little background stamping behind the cut circle, and then covered the opening with vellum impressed with the Cane Impression Plate--having noticed a number of folks impressing their vellum when they were taking an online card class. I was inspired by the colors and the flowers on the mood board. Purple and yellow look so nice together, but I never think to pair them up.
What is my favorite Hero Arts stamp today--you might be wondering? How about this super cute Thanks So Much Owl--some simple stamping and clear embossing and I have a trio of thank you cards that my daughter can use in a few weeks for any birthday presents she receives. I am entering these cards into this week's A Blog Named Hero Playing Favorites challenge and the Hero Arts One Layer Card challenge.
Last of all, I made a coordinating envelope and tag for this card, and will be entering the set at this week's Make it Monday #24 and The Birthday Wraps and Tags Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
And finally, I am entering all of these birthday cards for consideration to the Birthday Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
