I am working my way through these fabulous sketches for this week's Make it Monday #69: Inspiration into Unique Sketches. Today, I have a graduation card using this sketch.
All of the cards I have made for this week's Make it Monday have come together quite quickly, and I am now completely sold on the benefit of sketches. I grabbed a piece of double sided paper from my scrap box for two of the stars, and used Bitty Background Blocks in Ocean Tides ink for the pattern on the third.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Celebrations, Movers and Shakers, Bitty Background Blocks
Paper: White, patterned from my stash
Ink: Ocean Tides, Berry Sorbet
Other: Stars Die
Thanks for Visiting
You are on a roll with this week's MIM. Great take on the inspiration and sketch Joyce. I think I need the star dies. ;)
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!! I agree with Tracey, I think I need those star dies too. This is one fabulous card...
ReplyDeleteVery cute clean & simple card. I have been making sketches before I do my cards. It is so much faster that way. Sometimes things don't work out, but a simple tweak makes it happen.
ReplyDeleteLove the CAS card, Joyce! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect, Joyce! I love how you used the star diecuts!
ReplyDeleteI made a layout this morning using this sketch (before work) and started on a card...
Love your card Joyce. You are right, great minds do think alike. Thanks for the heads up about the comment verification (I didn't even know it was on) and I always find that annoying! Becoming a follower too- it's great to make PTI friends.
ReplyDeleteAdorable take on the sketch! Love it.
ReplyDeletethese sketches are great - love this card
ReplyDeleteLove your star card! I think I like to work with a sketch also. Great CAS congrats card. Hope you have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteSketches are my favorite type of challenge!! You did great on this one, the different sizes and patterns of stars look awesome :)
ReplyDeleteWow, this makes a fabulous graduation card! So full of energy and cheer! Perfect application of the sketch. And I also like your previous card--really cool folded bit with the text on the underside, and I love that you made the inside match. I tend to neglect my insides!
ReplyDeleteForgot to answer your question that you asked on my blog--no, I didn't cut the stamp, I just inked it with matching markers. I am lucky enough to have the full set of Stampin Up markers that matches the ink spots and card stock that I have. Thanks for asking!
ReplyDeleteI am loving the stars!!!
ReplyDeleteGTMA, Joyce, I used Star Prints for my MIM card too! Yours is better. :-) I love its CAS perfection!
ReplyDeleteLove the pop of color on crisp white! Kudos to you for using scrap paper too! Hope you're having a great day Joyce!
