Four-of-A-Kind #4

It is time for our November Four-of-a-Kind post.  This is the fourth in a series of monthly posts where Cathy, Kim, Renee and I challenge ourselves to make a card out of a kit sent to us by the hostess of the month.  You can see the first challenge here, the second challenge here, and the third challenge here

The hostess for the month makes four kits and sends them out to each of us.  We work secretly to create a card using at least 4 items from the kit.   No other rules or restrictions.  We are allowed to use anything else we have on hand.  We get to see each others cards today, on each of our blog posts.  We are scheduling our posts to go live at the same time.  I can't wait to see what everyone has created.

Renee is the host this month, and she sent us these totally awesome kits filled with Waltzingmouse goodness, and lots of fun embellishments.  Ocean tides and red is one of my favorite color schemes, and I have a huge soft spot for mittens, so you can imagine my delight when I opened my package to find this:

Well, I just had to let all that sink in for a bit, before I came up with these cards:

The other three members of Four-of-a-Kind are:
Cathy Weber:  Empty Nest Crafter
Kim Heggins:  Cupcakes, Cards and Kim
Renee Lynch:  It's a Patchwork Life

Please stop by their blogs, if you haven't been there already, and see what they have created for our fourth Four-of-a-Kind post.  Waltzingmouse has generously offered to sponsor a contest for this project.  One comment from one of our blogs will be randomly selected to win a free stamp set.  So, visit us all and leave a comment for the most chances to win.

If you can believe it, I still had enough left over to make a card for the upcoming Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz.  Come back on the 17th if you would like to see that card.

Thanks for Visiting

  2. Wow! i love how you paired the solid mitten with the plaid and used the polka dot paper for a mat stack layer. Great idea, and you used the gingham bow too! I wanted to, but couldn't figure out how and you made it look so easy. I love that you used the red lace and the rack and you chose my favorite tag to use, the one with warm winter wishes. Great job and can't wait to see your blog waltz card.

  3. Beautiful cards Joyce! I love the doily under the mittens, just too cute. The way you layered the ribbon was genius too and really gives the card a finished look. I fell in love with the piece of red lace but just could not find a way to fit it in, yours is used so well and I love the sentiment over the top. Both cards are wonderful and I am looking forward to the thirs in a few days.
