I am participating in the One Layer Wednesday challenge for the first time. The challenge, #66 is:
Get Inspired by Janelle
Janelle is such a sweet woman, talented crafter, and kind soul. She is currently battling an inoperable brain tumor, and her spirit, faith, and optimism are an inspiration to me. The challenge was to CASE one of Janelle's cards. Click here to see which card I chose. I have to admit, it was hard to decide, there were so many great choices.
Here is my card. By the time you read this blog post, the card will be on its way to Janelle:
Here is a peek at the inside:
I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler, as well as PTI Flower Fusion and Think Big Favorites. I'm not sure if the challenge allows ribbon, but there was twine on Janelle's card, so I decided to go for it. I bought that silk ribbon at Britex, on my last trip to San Francisco. Of course, I never wanted to use it, because it just screamed out to be hoarded. But, as this card is on it's way to Janelle, I thought that was a good enough reason to part with a bit of that silk ribbon.
I think I'll try to play along with One Layer Wednesday again. This was a very fun challenge. I hope Janelle likes her card.
Thanks for Visiting
