I recently spent a wonderful week in Maui with my family. When I returned home, I had this overwhelming urge to ink up my Papertrey Ink Aloha stamp set. Go figure?
I saw this beautiful card by Marybeth back when I was searching for reasons to buy the Aloha set, and had been meaning to CASE it ever since.
Here are my two Aloha cards:
I sent this first card to one of my PTI pen pals, Belinda. She recently moved to California from the east coast, and I wanted to welcome her to the state. My daughter colored the flowers with copic markers. She is so good at shading.
This next card is a 'mahalo' card, and it will get filed away with my 'thank you' cards until I need it. You will notice that the coloring on the orange card is much more primitive. That is because Rachel was at camp when I made it, and I was too impatient to wait for her.
The base of each card is PTI kraft, stamped in Versamark with a turtle stamp from Rubber Stamp Plantation out of Honolulu. They have lots of fun Hawaiian stamps.
Supplies Used (all PTI unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Aloha, Rubber Stamp Plantation Cami's Honu
Paper: Kraft, White, Black, Orange Zest, Hawaiian Shores
Other: Ribbon, Copic markers
Thanks for looking.

Love your cards, The color combinations go well withthe kraft cardstock. Your daughter does a great job coloring. Send her over to my house to teach me. Lol
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. And thanks for the link to the Rubber Plantation.

Way too cute, I love both but do not think your coloring looks bad at all. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I've never noticed that sea turtle before-- I love how you used him to stamp the background!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful , I love your turtle background! Coloring on both cards look great. So sweet of you to mention me. Kinda made my great day even better! Glad you had a good time in Maui.
ReplyDeleteI love these cards Joyce! Of course, I'm biased to all things Hawaiian. Regardless of that these are wonderful. I love the Honu stamp on the kraft. So fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job!! Love the bright colours.
