My Crafty Week

Hello and happy Thursday.  I am popping in quickly to share some cards I made.  First up is this little cutie, featuring some of the stamps and dies in the MFT Cats and Plants card kit.  I was inspired by the colors in the MFT Color Challenge #170.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Next up is a water color panel I made following the tutorial at PTI Live at Five.  I used Royal Velvet, Dark Indigo, and Hawaiian Shores inks and swiped directly onto my water color paper.  After that I used my steamer and then a mister to get the paper really really wet, then moved and dried the color with my heat tool.

I was able to make 2 cards out of this panel.  I went in the direction of the tropical seas, since that is what these colors suggested to me.  First I used the Shape Shifters Oval die to cut through my panel and added some tropical fish and coral silhouette die cuts.  I fussy cut a sentiment from Salt Air Sentiments.  I am entering this card at the PTI Video Challenge to make a tropical card.

I took all the negative pieces from the die cut above and added them back into a white Shape Shifters die cut, then added some more tropical silhouette die cuts.  I am entering this card at the PTI Live Around 5 Challenge.

I am also entering both of these cards at Addicted to Stamps and More #410: Die Cuts and Stencils, Use Your Stuff #427: Summer Fun, and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Next up are two wedding cards featuring one of my old PTI favorite stamps, Propose a Toast.  I think these champagne flutes are so cute, and this set has some of my favorite sentiments for wedding cards.  I will be entering both of these cards at PTI The Great Cover Up challenge to create a card with a touch of gold and also at Inkspirational #244: Spots/Dots (champagne bubbles), and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Last up today is another wedding card using a sentiment from Propose a Toast and the Cover Plate Gem Stone.  I didn't have any silver paper handy, so I swiped my white die cut with Silver Delicata Ink.  You can't even tell that the paper didn't start out as silver.  I am entering this card at PTI What Do I Do With This challenge to create a card using rainstones, Addicted to CAS #202: Geometric, and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Time Out #193...Thinking About You and Smiling...

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out.  We challenge you to make a card inspired by this quote above.  I was inspired by the rose--which I interpreted to be all flowers and the word friend.  I used stamps from our sponsor, CAS-ual Fridays--- Flowery Background and Lovely Greetings (retired) to create my cards.

I mad two cards this week because I was so in love with this Flowery Background stamp that I couldn't stop myself.

For my first card, I stamped my background, then very quickly went over the flowers with 2 shades of yellow Copic markers.  I didn't do very detailed coloring and shading--just quick brushes.  I stamped and fussy cut my sentiment and then popped it up with foam tape.

On my second card, I stamped the flowers in one of my favorite turquoise inks, then die cut a window to show my sentiment.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our fabulous Guest Designer, Jen Wills, and the Time Out Design Team.  CAS-ual Fridays is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run for two weeks.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Recap of the Week

Hello and happy Sunday.  I'm posting a few cards I made this week.  First up is another card using The Greetery Sitting Pretty.  I was inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink #564: Just Choose Two (sky & trees) and the colors at Color Throwdown #652.  Perhaps the rug and seat cushion look familar?

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (old: dog die and cloud stencil.  new:  porch, chair and trees), and Addicted to Stamps and More #410.  This is such a peaceful scene, and I had to add Sherlock to enjoy the day.

Next up...it is birthday time.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut a bunch of tiny cupcakes out of Hero Arts You're Top Tier, and was inspired to do this by the challenge at CAS on Friday #210: Tiny Images.  I used a Mosaic embossing folder which gives this really fun geometric dimensional texture to my card front, so I am also linking up at Addicted to CAS #202 and AAA Birthday #27:  Embossing Folder.  And, I am finally snarky!!  I'll be linking this card up at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #190:  C is for Colorful.  Last of all, this card is going over at A Blog Named Hero:  Repeat Yourself.

While I had my Copic markers out and was in a birthday mode, I am entering this card at many of the same challenges as the card above.

Last up are a couple of wedding cards--must replenish the stash.  This first one was inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper: What Do I Do with This to create a card with a little sparkle.  My elegant wedding sentiment is heat embossed in Black Sparkle embossing powder, which gives a whole lot of sparkle in person, and the sequins are pretty sparkly, too.  I am also entering this card at WWC230: Occasions (wedding).

My 2nd wedding card is my last card for the day.  I combined a stamped and die cut image from a My Monthly Hero kit with a stamped and gold heat embossed image from PTI Gatsby Glamour and a sentiment from Avery Elle So Happy.  Now, that's a mixed marriage.  I am entering this card at WWC230: Occasions (wedding).

My Crafty Week

I've had some crafty time these last few days...First up is a card using my newest favorite dies--The Greetery Sitting Pretty.  I created this cozy front porch scene and added a stenciled tree in the background.  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #410: Die Cuts and/or Stencils and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Out with the old (stencil) and In with the New (die cuts).

Next up is a whole bunch of dogs, inspired by the sketch at Inky Paws #153, and especially inspired by this card from DT member Sue.  I used the colors from Color Hue #22: Lime Green and Aqua.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #410: Die Cuts and/or Stencils and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Out with the old (stamps) and In with the New (stencil).

I used elements from a My Monthly Hero kit to create this elegant wedding card.  I stamped the frame twice in Delicata gold ink, inspired by the challenge at A Blog Named Hero: Repeat Yourself.

For my next wedding card, I pulled out the beautiful PTI Text and Texture Roses, and stamped in Fine Linen and Kraft on Vintage Cream card stock.  I don't think I have ever used this set before, but I will surely use it again before too long.  I just love how it looks stamped tone on tone.  I am entering this card at the What Do I Do With This challenge to create a tactile card by using multiple dies or heat embossing.  My sentiment is heat embossed, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape.
