Hello. I am popping in quickly on a Thursday to post a few cards I've made this week. First up is a card for the challenge at Lawn Fawnatics #84: Back to School. I used these sweet Lawn Fawn stamps sent to me by Kim to create my little scene. If Mr. Bear can read the map, Mrs Mouse can get to school before the tardy bell rings.
I am so very excited to be playing along at the very first challenge from Color Hues #1: Yellow & Green. I am also playing along with Retro Rubber #143: Yellow & Green (my stamps are at least 5 years old), and the photo at The Card Concept #139, where my inspiration is the sunflowers in the photo and my style is Clean and Simple.
My last card is inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday #199 to use only die cuts except for a sentiment. This made me think of this fabulous set of Hero Arts dies called Surf's Up, and I created a masculine birthday card per the challenge at The Paper Players #507. Just for fun, I decided to use the beautiful fall colors from Color Throwdown #610 rather than more traditional water colors.
Thanks for Visiting
Joyce, you always create the most fabulous cards. I love the color combo and the fantastic surfer die. The embossing adds so much texture. So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteI love that cobblestone road! Terrific cards Joyce!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness.....if your card is not cute enough, you had to create a sweet story to go with it, simply adorable! Love your sweet flower and that surfer is so cool.
ReplyDeleteJoyce I love your school card--so funny! Beautiful sunflower and your surfer dude so fun, love those colours!
ReplyDeleteThree fabulous cards Joyce - I particularly like your less-traditional colour choices for your masculine surfer card - they work really well. What a great way to change things up! Thanks for playing along with us at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteIt is always so fun to stop by your blog and see how busy you have been although some days it does make me feel like a slacker. LOL Love your little critters driving. If Mr. Bear is my hubby we would be lost. As for your sunflower...I love the way you have framed it in with the vertical sentiment. As for your surfer dude...what fun colors! Thanks for playing along with our first challenge at Color Hues and over at Seize the Birthday too. BTW...you were chosen as one of our Birthday Honours last time.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Joyce. I love your use of color on the surfer card, too. Perfect guy card. So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week

Another terrific set of cards! And I'm so glad I'm looking at this after crafting today - I've seen you enter Retre Rubber before, but I've been using ancient supplies all day, so why do I not follow this challenge! The little schoolhouse scene is adorable, love it. And thanks for joining us at Color Hues and Seize the Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce! I've come by way of Color Hues, to tell you how beautiful your sunflower is, and have had more than one treat to behold! All spectacular, my friend!

Your sunflower is a perfect choice for the first Color Hues Challenge. I love the CAS design, and I'm pretty sure that stamp exists in my collection. You've inspired me to pull it out again. Hope to see you again soon at Color Hues!
ReplyDeleteHello hello! Another set of awe-mazing cards! I'm especially swooning over your sunflower: gorgeous! And it's a rubber stamp, which just adds to the 'cool' factor! So thrilled you joined us for the first Colour Hues challenge!
