Just Two Cards

 


Hello and happy Sunday.  I have spent most of my crafty time this weekend trying to organize and get caught up on things...but I do have 2 cards to share.

My first card uses this adorable giraffe from MFT Giraffes on Ice, and I have created a fun birthday card for a child or anyone young at heart.  I was inspired by the challenge at the September MFT Birthday Project, AAA Birthday #17, Inkspirational #222: Day, and Seize the Birthday #199 (no toppings).








Next up is a card I will send to my daughter at college who is studying Chinese.  I used a sentiment from Waffle Flower Ni Hao, and I think she will enjoy reading it in Chinese (good thing there is a translation).  I was inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink #523: Just Add "A" (Asia--my kitty is eating sushi and ramen in Chinatown), The Paper Players #509: Pets and The Library Challenge #68: The Cat in the Hat (one of my all time favorite books).

    Gosh only 2 cards! I adore that first card-love the swirl of blue! And the second one, super background and how fab to have the sentiment in Chinese as well-your daughter will love it x

    Your giraffe is adorable, Joyce! Love the movement on this card and your textured background is fabulous! Your 'Chinese' card is very cool! The bold red is perfect and your kitty cat is darling...I'm sure your daughter is going to love it, too!

    Organizing and clean-up do take time away from the actual creating, don't they? Except when the lack of the above make it impossible to find things. :D What a fun giraffe for your first card - he has better balance than me to be able to skate like that! Love your little sushi eating kitty, too, with his appropriately red backdrop.
