We are at the halfway mark! I hope you are all having fun!
Those of you who have played along in past years know that at the end of the event there is a linkup for one more prize--The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 Superstar!
There is a special prize for one lucky person who has completed all 26 days of the challenge accurately! This year Design Team member Kim Heggins has made a special superstar prize! Kim is a very talented sewer and has an Etsy shop at Running Stitch Design, selling so many of her fabulous handmade bags. Definitely worth checking out! Here is the prize she has made for this year's winner. A cute winter theme makeup bag!
Our sponsor for Day 13 is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.
Just for today, I am going to be taking a break from Christmas. Not a break from tags, but just from Christmas. If you are Jewish, December is a pretty BORING month. Since our sponsor for today is CAS-ual Fridays stamps, and they have some of the best Chanukah stamps around, I decided to have a little Hanukah party on my blog.
Welcome to my Hanukkah party!!
Starting us off is a trio of tags using dies from Tag Buddies, 8 Happy Nights stamps, and Hanukkah Fri-Dies.
Here is a close up of the two tags with the Star of David die cuts from Hanukkah Fri-Dies. This die cuts a bunch of shapes that all nest together. I cut once from dark blue and once from white, and just nested them using alternating colors.
I used silver embossing powder to emboss one of the images from 8 Happy Nights stamps. I really love how this stamp used words to form the shape of a menorah, which is the thing with candles that we light each of the 8 nights of Chanukah.
These two tags focus on the Dreidel, which is a little top that children can spin. There are 4 sides, and a Hebrew letter on each side.
On this tag, I heat embossed the dreidels in silver.
This tag has a little shaker, and I stamped the words to the dreidel song in light colored ink to form the background.
I made this sweet trio of tags using the smallest die Tag Buddies and stamps from Spin the Dreidel.
Last of all, a pair of cards using stamps from Spin the Dreidel.
I hope you have had fun at my little Chanukah/Hanukah/Hannukkah party. Why are there so many spellings of the word Chanukah/Hanukah/Hannukkah you might ask? I think it is because it is a translation of a Hebrew word which uses characters and sounds from the Hebrew alphabet that have no counterpart in the Modern English Alphabet. So, relax and enjoy the fact that you can never really misspell the word Chanukah/Hanukah/Hannukkah.
Please head over to Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the fun and get a chance to win a prize.
Thanks for Visiting
