Just a quick update to share a few cards I made over the weekend. First up is this super fun bookcase birthday card that I made using a relatively new Hero Arts wooden stamp and my Copic markers.
It is a little hard to see in this photo, but the bottom row has the word 'birthday' die cut, stacked and inlaid back in. I am entering this card at The Library Challenge #27: Spark Joy. An entire bookshelf, organized by rainbow color would truly spark joy for me. Also, as the topic of Spark Joy is to declutter and organize, this is what my actual bookcase might look like after going through that process (in my dreams).
Next up is a card using one of my favorite PTI dies 'In the Woods' for Lauries Fabulous Favorites Challenge at PTI. I am also entering this card at Inkspiration #181: Use Your Stash.
Last up is a one layer card with a focus on the sentiment. I used an old inspirational sentiment from MFT and spruced the card up with some images from PTI Watercolor Wonder and embossed texture.
I am entering this card at Less is More #389: Focus on the Sentiment and Just Add Ink #445: Just Add Embossing.
Thanks for Visiting
Love all your wonderful cards....that library is fabulous! Just about the perfect birthday card ever! Your final card is simply wonderful, just love that encouraging sentiment!
ReplyDeleteYou packed a ton of creativity and card artistry in your mid-week review, Joyce! I think I'm going to have to get that In the Woods die if it's still available! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, love all of the colorful books! I have a cousin who's NUTS over books, this is right up her alley! These are all pretty Joyce!
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to anything about books and love your colorful bookcase! And 'In the Woods' is a gorgeous die and makes a great place to feature a sentiment. Love all three of these beauties!
ReplyDeleteA lovely selection of cards. I do like your fun sentiments. Chantell Just Add Ink
ReplyDeleteWhat a great encouraging sentiment, Joyce ... a beautifully soft and dreamy comfort card ... and oh my, that book case, everyone needs one just like it, it's brilliant with the camouflaged sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic cards. I think I might case your bookcase card. A friend stamped it for me and I wasn't sure what to do to it. And I almost missed the die cut. VERY clever.
ReplyDeleteThese cards really show your versatility, Joyce. Copic coloring, die cutting and stamping, all beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteYour variety of themes and designs are wonderfully shown in your post today, Joyce. As a former librarian, I need to look for the first HA's stamp. My library shelves are organized by genre only, not color. The birthday die hides well on the shelves.
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of your embossed card, with the best sentiment! Thankyou for joining in with the Just Add Ink Challenge. D x
ReplyDeleteWOW!! You totally rocked these challenges! I adore the fun book card. Total coloring bonanza. Love the use your stash die from PTI. That sentiment is awesome on the last card. FABULOUS cards!
ReplyDeleteYou really have made 3 beautiful cards Joyce. I love the vibrancy of the first and the inlaid die is super. Your second card is very classy with that elegant die. Your last card beautiful and the colour accents are a perfect way to focus on the sentiment. Just for future reference, we like embossing to cover only one third (or less) of the card. I know - we're pretty strict at Less is More however, your card is lovely and I hope we'll see you again really soon xx
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! I think your bookcase one is perfect for the Spark Joy challenge - there is actually some space between some of those books, unlike my own bookcases, which are double-parked. I'm reading lots of ebooks now so hopefully that should cut down on the 'clutter'. Thanks for joining The Library.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards as always, Joyce. Such diverse designs from the super colourful crisp images in your first, the calming beauty of your second, and the simple style of your third with that oh so true sentiment. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
ReplyDeleteYour. Sri's definitely spark joy for me Joyce! The bookshelf is a fabulous stamp and you colour d all the books perfectly. I bet the birthday die cut looks awesome in real life! Love that branch cover plate, I. Fact I am pretty sure I have that one somewhere in my clutter!!
