I was inspired to pull out my paint chips by the Ombre challenge at AAA Cards #110 this week. Once I had them out, I had great fun playing around with them, and ended up with three cards.
I started with a palette of blues, and used a MFT die to cut out the word 'hugs'. I stacked a few die cuts under this for dimension, and then added the rest of the sentiment from PTI Big Hugs. I am also entering this card at Less is More #366: Monochrome.
Next, I took another paint chip of various shades of teal, and die cut the word 'birthday' and also some balloons. I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #262. I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.
For my last paint chip card, I stacked the die cut letters left over from my first card, and then laid them out on the diagonal, surrounded by some flowers. I laid everything out on a die cut with diagonal stripes from Lil Inkers, so I could be sure everything was spaced evenly.
I also have a bookmark to share--it is two sided and incorporates my new PTI Lilies of the Valley stamps as well as a couple of miscellaneous sentiments. I am entering this bookmark at The Flower Challenge #18: Anything Goes and The Paper Players #383: Spring Has Sprung.
