My Crafty Weekend



Hello and happy Sunday.  Are you watching the Super Bowl?  I am going to watch the commercials, and read my book in between commercials.

I had a Super Crafty weekend.  Here goes...

Vicki's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by the trio of 3 colored critters in Vicki's adorable inspiration card at Muse #251.  I broke out my MFT Polar Bears for this birthday card.  I gave the bear in the front a stylish teal scarf and trendy teal skates, and will enter this card at Addicted to CAS #129:  Teal and Addicted to Stamps and More #277: Make Your Mark.







My next card is inspired by the Candles topping option at Seize the Birthday, the colors at Color Throwdown #478, and the Color Me Pretty challenge at CAS on Friday #125.









I loved this week's sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #257, and hope to try another one this week.  Here's what I made yesterday.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.






PTI Make it Monday #311 is all about using different types of paper.  I used some cork paper as well as a page from a book I bought in Italy several years ago for paper crafting purposes.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #322.






Switching gears a little, there are so many challenges this week about love and Valentines day.  I pulled out some of my heart dies.  First up is a card using MFT Heart Balloon dies and SSS Handwritten Borders as the string.  I was originally inspired by the sketch at this week's Fusion challenge.  My card went a bit off the rails for the sketch, but I will try again later in the week to see if I can get closer.   I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #426: Love and AAA Cards #108: All You Need is Love.






Last up....one more Valentine...  I inset the heart on the left and stacked 3 die cuts for the heart on the right for more texture on the card.  I am entering this card at Paper Players #379: Valentine and Just Add Ink #394:  Romance.

    Wow...so many wonderful cards Joyce! Love them all but your sweet bear card is my favorite, just love them with those stylish scarves! Maybe like something you would knit? Wishing you a fun rest of your day!

    WOW, Joyce, you were rocking the challenges this weekend! Those bears are so cute, especially the teal one on skates. Great idea using book print and cork on your cute card for MIM. Beautiful work on all six cards, Joyce!

    You've been busy here! Fab cards but I do like the polar bears. I gather the match was a good one especially for the neutral, though I didn't watch. Your sentiments about it made me smile!

    You really get productive on your crafty weekends, Joyce. If I don't touch on all the cards it's because I have to focus on the ones for the challenges I'm on the Design Team for. First off I love those polar bears and use mine often. Thanks for coloring one in teal and sharing it with us at Addicted to CAS and at Addicted to Stamps and More for making your mark. I'm also glad you entered your heart balloons in the Love challenge at Just Us Girls.

    I wish my weekend's output had been this good! Your inlaying and stacking of the die cuts for dimension has worked well. I like the classic combination of red, white and black and of course, adore all that lovely clean space - nice layout! Thank you for sharing your creation at The Paper Players this week.

    Joyce you did have an incredibly crafty weekend. So many fabulous cards. Love how you used the polar bears for your Muse card--so cute! No wonder the you were chosen! So many cards and so many challenges, you will need to teach me how to get back into the swing of doing challenges when you are here in April (can't wait)! All of your designs are getting pinned for future CASEing/copying--;)
