My Crafty Weekend



I had some crafty time this week.  YAY!!

First up is a card with color blocking for this week's PTI Make it Monday #292.  I am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #113: Exotic.






Next up is a card inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #232.  The paper in the negative space is some old Stampin' Up designer paper, and it is the 'old' for JUGS #404 challenge.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.







I took a slightly different approach to the color scheme at Color Throwdown #453.  I made a set of 3 cards, each one using one of the colors from the challenge.









I used the techniques from this video for my cards.  I traced a ribbon spool for the pink and green balloons, after using the SSS A2 card edge die for the yellow one and not being completely happy with the shape.





I am also entering this card trio at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

    Joyce, I love all the colors you used on your twin flamingos card! Like your fun and festive looking balloon cards too.

    I like the tropical colors with your fun flamingos! That cupcake paper is super cute, what a terrific take on the sketch. And those colorful balloon cards are just perfect. Marvelous work as always Joyce!!

    You did find some crafty time to get all these cards made. Your tropical, color-blocked card is awesome. I almost used those dues, too. What a fun birthday card with the curved shapes and old DSP, Joyce! Those balloon cards are so fun and colorful. I've got to try that myself.

    You are a busy crafter on weekends! Those flamingos on your vivid color blocked bg are so fun! I wasn't sure if I was in Hawaii, Mexico or the Las Vegas strip. The balloon cards and CASe sketch interpretation provide future inspiration.

    Those flamingo's with their necks entwined are so deliciously tropical, Joyce ... and romantic! The cupcake swoosh is scrumptious ... and those bright, vibrant balloons are so striking ... and fabulous! Love it when you get time to craft! Hugs, Anita :)

    Fabulous tropical look, Joyce! The flamingoes are fun images for your anniversary design! And the cupcake paper is wonderful, great for a birthday for any sex or age. Love how versatile the balloons are too--wonderful technique for creating a huge balloon!
