I feel like it has been a long time since I had a large group of cards to post as a result of weekend fun in the craft room--today is the day.
First up is a bunch of cards inspired by Kay's beautiful card at Muse #231.
Kay's Inspiration Card |
I am also entering this card at CAS on Sunday #107: Use glitter or sequins (I used sequins).
I made another version of the same card, using different die cuts from Grans Garden. I am entering this card at Time Out #82: Flowers (where I am on the DT).
While I had all the buildings from City Scene set up in my Misti, I made a few Father's Day cards. Why should the Mother's Day cards get all the fun, right?
I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #239: Clean and Simple.
My parents as well as my In-Laws are all from New York, so I think they will appreciate the New York themed cards.
The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #285 inspired my next card. I flipped the sketch.
Last up is a pair of cards I made with the Bloom & Grow kit.
The first card is inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #219, and I used the Stenciled Water Color Background technique from Make it Monday #282.
You can pull the flowers up to see the sentiment.
One more card from Bloom & Grow, this one using the patterned paper in the kit.
That's it for me this weekend.
Thanks for Visiting
Wow Joyce, what a stunning display of cards! I love that city scene and it's such an unique idea to pair those stamps with flowers. All your cards are so well designed and pretty. What an effective crafty weekend you've had!
ReplyDeleteWow you have been busy! I adore all these city scenes but my fav is the one with the red building, like the pop of colour. And what a great design being able to pull out the flowers, sure looks like you had a fun weekend x
ReplyDeleteWell all your cards are bright and beautiful! Love the pops of colour on the city scene you've linked up at AAA Cards. Thanks for playing.
ReplyDeleteWow, these are all fabulous, Joyce! I especially love how you made so many cards with the City Scene background!
ReplyDeleteWow you have had some real quality craft time! Love the gray/light background-city combined with the flowers too...a great idea and all beautiful! The one with the car is such a funny one! A real treat to come here today! Think you have a lot of beautiful ideas! Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteWOOOOW!! What a creative weekend, Joyce! LOVE those cityscape cards with their subtle grey skylines and bold pops of colour. They honestly look brilliant!! Thank heavens for MISTIs, taking the pain out of stamp positioning! xx
ReplyDeleteJoyce, you sure have been busy making these beautiful cards. And a good idea using City Scene as a background stamp! I had to laugh when I read your comment that you checked my blog first before making your card for MIM - can we help it if great, creative minds think alike?
ReplyDeleteI love the masculine/feminine take on the Muse, Joyce - so clever! Thanks for joining us this week!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your output is phenomenal and it's fun to see all the variety today, Joyce! You used a set that I have not used but once. City Scene is a great choice for feminine/masculine cards.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!!! What a gorgeous take on Kays beautiful card, Joyce! I love each and ever one! Stunning mothers day cards! The first two cards are my favorites if I had to pick :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Joyce, you have been a very busy stamper creating all these beauties. I, too, loved that card of Kay's but hadn't tried it yet. You did a super job with hers as inspiration. Beautiful Mother's Day cards and very appropriate masculine cards for Father's Day.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful collection of cards, Joyce! I love how you played with the New York cityscape and the clever way you created Mother's Day and Father's Day cards! Looks like your MISTI got a great workout :) I also love how you played with the Bloom & Grow kit...so lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! I love how you changed up the Mother's Day cards to Father's Day!
ReplyDeleteJoyce these are so amazing!! I love each and every design but my favorite is your take on Kay's card! Outstanding!
